Antijamming coding techniques

IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, 2008
In this article, we have provided an overview of several coding techniques for erasure channels which can be or have been applied to cognitive radio systems as antijamming coding schemes for link maintenance purpose. We have discussed in detail the conventional erasure codes, LDPC codes, rate less codes, as well as recently proposed piecewise coding ...

Debugging parallelized code using code liberation techniques

Proceedings of the 1991 ACM/ONR workshop on Parallel and distributed debugging, 1991
A technique is presented that enables the debugging of transformed and parallelized sequential programs from the point of view of the sequential code. Global renaming is applied first to convert the sequential program to single-assignment form. The code is then parallelized using any desired parallelizing transformation.

Bus Coding Techniques

2015
In deep sub-micron technology, minimizing the propagation delay and power consumption on buses is the most important design objective in system-on-chip design. In particular, the coupling effects between wires on the bus can cause serious problems such as crosstalk delay, noise and power consumption.

Combination coding: a new entropy coding technique

Proceedings of Data Compression Conference - DCC '96, 1996
Summary form only given. Entropy coding is defined to be the compression of a stream of symbols taken from a known symbol set where the probability of occurrence of any symbol from the set at any given point in the stream is constant and independent of any known occurrences of any other symbols.

Code Reading Techniques

2016
Most of the reading techniques discussed in Chapters 3 and 4 can be applied to code reading. This chapter first emphasizes the importance of code reading as a professional skill and discusses how people actually read code in practice. It then focuses on a few specific reading techniques for programmers to read and comprehend the programming source code.

Coding Techniques From Distinguishing Colorings In Topological Coding

2020 IEEE 9th Joint International Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence Conference (ITAIC), 2020
Information security is a long-term and relative problem. Since dynamic networks change with time, the coding (coloring or labeling) of dynamic networks is far different from graph colorings/labelings of graph theory. Various distinguishing colorings of graph theory can help us to encrypt dynamic networks wholly, although it is a new topic of network ...

Coding techniques for CFA data images

12th International Conference on Image Analysis and Processing, 2003.Proceedings., 2004
In this paper we present a comparison between different approaches to CFA (colour filter array) image encoding. We show different performance offered by a new algorithm based on a vector quantization technique, JPEG-LS, a low complexity encoding standard and classical JPEG.

Efficient Speech Coding Techniques

1985
The desire to conserve spectrum is a very widespread one, prevalent not only with respect to the radiated spectrum, but also significant in terms of the conducted spectrum that exists on any cable transmission facility. Numerous multilevel modulation techniques (see Chapter 6) have been devised to increase the number of bits per second that can be ...
