Bounds between contraction coefficients [PDF]
In this paper, we delineate how the contraction coefficient of the strong data processing inequality for KL divergence can be used to learn likelihood models. We then present an alternative formulation that forces the input KL divergence to vanish, and achieves a contraction coefficient equivalent to the squared maximal correlation using a linear ...

The results presented in this paper deal with the classical but still prevalent problem of introducing new classes of m-fold symmetric bi-univalent functions and studying properties related to coefficient estimates.

Sharp Coefficients Bounds for Starlike Functions Associated with Gregory Coefficients
Abstract In this paper we introduced the class SG* of analytic functions which is related with starlike functions and generating functionof Gregory coefficients. By using bounds on some coefficient functionals for the family of functions with positive real part, we obtain several sharp coefficient bounds on the first six coeffcients and also ...

Bounds for Hilbert coefficients [PDF]
Let \(K\) be a field, \(S =K[x_{1}, \ldots , x_{n}]\) the polynomial ring in \(n\) variables, and let \(N\) be any graded \(S\)-module of dimension \(d\). If \(N\) has a pure resolution, the authors give explicit formulas for the Hilbert coefficients \(e_{i}(N)\). Moreover, the combination of this result and some recent work of \textit{D. Eisenbud} and

Starlike Functions Associated with Bernoulli’s Numbers of Second Kind
The aim of this paper is to introduce a class of starlike functions that are related to Bernoulli’s numbers of the second kind. Let φBS(ξ)=ξeξ−12=∑n=0∞ξnBn2n!, where the coefficients of Bn2 are Bernoulli numbers of the second kind.

Lorentz and CPT Violation in the Higgs Sector [PDF]
Colladay and Kostelecky have proposed a framework for studying Lorentz and CPT violation in a natural extension of the Standard Model. Although numerous bounds exist on the Lorentz and CPT violating parameters in the gauge boson and fermion sectors ...

Reduced Complexity Filtering with Stochastic Dominance Bounds: A Convex Optimization Approach [PDF]
This paper uses stochastic dominance principles to construct upper and lower sample path bounds for Hidden Markov Model (HMM) filters. Given a HMM, by using convex optimization methods for nuclear norm minimization with copositive constraints, we ...

Coefficient bounds for convex functions of bounded type [PDF]
A normalized univalent function is called convex of bounded type if the curvature of the curve bounding the image domain of the unit disc lies between two fixed positive numbers. Sharp bounds for the modulus of the second and the third Taylor coefficient of such functions are derived.
