Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Initial coefficient estimates for a classes of m-fold symmetric bi-univalent functions involving Mittag-Leffler function [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Moravica, 2020
The main object of the present paper is to use Mittag-Leffler function to introduce and study two new classes RSm(g, l, e, d, t ; a) and R * Sm(g, l, e, d, t ; b) of Sm consisting of analytic and m-fold symmetric bi-univalent functions defined in the ...

Bounds on the coefficients of tension and flow polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebraic Combinatorics, 2010
The goal of this article is to obtain bounds on the coefficients of modular and integral flow and tension polynomials of graphs. To this end we make use of the fact that these polynomials can be realized as Ehrhart polynomials of inside-out polytopes.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Yamaguchi -Noshiro Type Bi-Univalent Functions Associated with Sălăgean-Erdély–Kober Operator

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
We defined two new subclasses of analytic bi-univalent function class Σ, in the open unit disk related with the Sălăgean–Erdély–Kober operator. The bounds on initial coefficients |a2|,|a3| and |a4| for the functions in these new subclasses of Σ are ...

On the normal structure coefficient and the bounded sequence coefficient [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1983
The two notions of normal structure coefficient and bounded sequence coefficient introduced by Bynum are shown to be the same. A lower bound for the normal structure coefficient in

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Faber Polynomial Coefficient Estimates for Subclass of Analytic Bi-Bazilevic Functions Defined by Differential Operator

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2019
In this work,  an explicit formula for a class of Bi-Bazilevic univalent functions involving differential operator is given, as well as the determination of upper bounds for the general Taylor-Maclaurin coefficient of a functions belong to this class ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
