Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Some Bounds for the Fragmentation Coefficient of Random Graphs

open access: yesAxioms
Graph fragmentation aims to find the smallest vertex subset whose removal breaks a graph into components of bounded size. While this problem has applications in network dismantling and combinatorics, theoretical bounds on optimal solutions remain limited.

Certain Subclasses of Bi-Starlike Function of Complex Order Defined by Erdély–Kober-Type Integral Operator

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
In the present paper, we introduce new subclasses of bi-starlike and bi-convex functions of complex order associated with Erdély–Kober-type integral operator in the open unit disc and find the estimates of initial coefficients in these classes. Moreover,

Lower bounds on the coefficients of Ehrhart polynomials [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Combinatorics, 2009
We present lower bounds for the coefficients of Ehrhart polynomials of convex lattice polytopes in terms of their volume. Concerning the coefficients of the Ehrhart series of a lattice polytope we show that Hibi's lower bound is not true for lattice polytopes without interior lattice points.

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Inverse and Logarithmic Coefficient Bounds of Concave Univalent Functions

open access: yesAxioms
The concept of coefficient estimates on univalent functions is one of the interesting aspects explored recently by many researchers. Motivated by this direction, in this present work, we obtain the upper bounds of initial inverse coefficients and ...

On the Coefficients of Functions with Bounded Boundary Rotation [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1972
Let V7k be the class of normalised functions of bounded boundary rotation. For fe Vk define M(r,f) = max If(z)I, IzI=r and let L(r,f) denote the length of f(Izl =r). Then if f(z)=z+ ,'?n=2anz, it is shown that (i) 2M(r,f)

Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

Starlikeness Associated with the Van Der Pol Numbers

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In this paper, we define a subclass of starlike functions associated with the Van der Pol numbers. For this class, we derive structural formula, radius of starlikeness of order α, strong starlikeness, and some inclusion results.
