The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Faber Polynomial Coefficient Estimates for Bi-Univalent Functions Defined by Using Differential Subordination and a Certain Fractional Derivative Operator

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
In this article, we introduce a general family of analytic and bi-univalent functions in the open unit disk, which is defined by applying the principle of differential subordination between analytic functions and the Tremblay fractional derivative ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Faber Polynomial Coefficient Estimates of m-Fold Symmetric Bi-Univalent Functions with Bounded Boundary Rotation

open access: yesMathematics
In the current article, we introduce several new subclasses of m-fold symmetric analytic and bi-univalent functions associated with bounded boundary and bounded radius rotation within the open unit disk D.

Coefficients Of The Inverse Of Strongly Starlike Functions. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
For the class of strongly starlike functions, sharp bounds on the first four coefficients of the inverse functions are determined. A sharp estimate for the Fekete-Szego coefficient functional is also obtained.

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
