Represention of anisotropy in unsaturated permeabilities for soils based on pore connectivity-tortuosity parameter

open access: yesYantu gongcheng xuebao, 2018
Accurate characterization of the anisotropy in unsaturated permeability for soils is significant in simulating flow and contaminant transport. Based on the Mualem’s unsaturated permeability function, the power type expression for the relationship between

Intrinsic Photoactive Star ZnPc–Poly(glutamate) Nanoplatforms for Multimodal Glioblastoma Therapy and Brain‐Targeted Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An intrinsic photoactive star‐shaped zinc phtalocyanine‐poly(L‐glutamic acid) (ZnPc‐PGA) nanoplatform for multimodal glioblastoma (GBM) therapy and brain‐targeted elivery. A ZnPc‐PGA‐based multifunctional theranostic nanocarrier platform enables image‐guided, multimodal GBM therapy. ZnPc‐PGA nanocarriers support the integration of fluorescence imaging,

Momentum Anisotropy, Chromo-Weibel Instability and QGP Phenomenology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The momentum-space anisotropy present during the space-time evolution of the hot QCD medium in heavy-ion collisions may lead to chromo-Weibel instability in the medium.

Resistivity anisotropy characterization and correction methods for bedded shales in high-angle wells

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
Resistivity anisotropy in bedded shales poses significant challenges for reservoir assessment in high-angle wells, mainly due to discrepancies between logging models and vertical well conditions.

X‐Functionality–Driven Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution in 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report a water‐based synthesis of 2D 4‐X‐PEA2SnI4 perovskite microcrystals with prominent photocatalytic (PC) activity for H2 production. The synergy between organic functionalization and HI‐derived iodide scavenges holes suppress octahedral distortion, and favor electron accumulation, enabling a PC H2 evolution ∼20 µmol·g−1 and long‐term stability ...

Conditions Of Stability Loss During The Test Of Hydraulic Forming Of Drawpieces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mechanics and Engineering, 2015
The paper contains two parts. In the first part, basic relationships were derived and some problems connected with stability loss during hydraulic forming of round metallic drawpieces with liquid pressure were discussed.

Electrode and Microstructure Dependence of Oxygen Diffusion in Ferroelectric Hafnium Zirconium Oxide Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights
