Variable anisotropy of small-scale stratospheric irregularities retrieved from stellar scintillation measurements by GOMOS/Envisat [PDF]
In this paper, we consider possibilities for studying the anisotropy of small-scale air density irregularities using satellite observations of bi-chromatic stellar scintillations during tangential occultations.

Anisotropy of the Sommerfeld Coefficient in Magnesium Diboride Single Crystals [PDF]
The anisotropic field dependence of the Sommerfeld coefficient gamma has been measured down to B-->0 by combining specific heat and Hall probe magnetization measurements in MgB2 single crystals. We find that gamma(B,theta) is the sum of two contributions arising from the sigma and pi band, respectively.

Azimuthal Anisotropy in High Energy Nuclear Collision - An Approach based on Complex Network Analysis [PDF]
Recently, a complex network based method of Visibility Graph has been applied to confirm the scale-freeness and presence of fractal properties in the process of multiplicity fluctuation.

Anisotropy of Ceramic Building Products vs. Liquid Transfer Coefficient [PDF]
The quantitative evaluation of the anisotropy of ceramic wall products based on its capillary properties was performed in the paper. Measures characterizing the material’s ability to absorb liquids in a direction of a product’s molding and perpendicularly were experimentally determined, and then liquid transfer coefficient was calculated using these ...

Anisotropy of small-scale stratospheric irregularities retrieved from scintillations of a double star α-Cru observed by GOMOS/ENVISAT [PDF]
In this paper, we discuss estimating anisotropy of air density irregularities (ratio of characteristic horizontal and vertical scales) from satellite observations of bi-chromatic scintillations of a double star whose components are not resolved by the ...

Influence of Testing Method on the Course of Anisotropy Coefficient [PDF]
The anisotropy coefficient rα [1] represents one of the main aspects of the materials deformation behavior, in addition to the basic material characteristics (such as e.g. yield strength, tensile ultimate strength, total ductility, uniform ductility). According to the standard, its value is calculated at a specific deformation value using the initial ...
