Abstract The assessment of process phenomena resulting from the hydrodynamics of gas flow through various kinds of coal chars may refer to a vast number of technological aspects pertaining to qualitative features of those materials. Those issues are subject to the assessment of the post-reaction gas movement in the conditions of the thermal ...

The Study of Influence Factors of the Transmission Coefficient Anisotropy
Proceedings, 2014In anisotropic media, the P-wave reflection coefficient varies with the incidence and azimuth phase angles. The azimuthal anisotropy of horizontal transverse isotropy (HTI) media is used to detect fractures in the reservoir. In this paper, we introduce the reflection and transmission coefficient at interfaces between two weakly anisotropic HTI media ...

Anisotropy of Sound Speed and Absorption Coefficient of FRP Plate
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1990The variation of sound speed and absorption coefficient are very important parameters in selecting materials for sonar domes. This paper describes the results of measurement on these two factors in a FRP plate composed of resin and layers of polythylene cloth, and it is shown that they increase according to the increase of the refraction angle ...

Relationships among the harmonic coefficients of scan plane anisotropies
Journal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, 1985Frequently, a detector on a spinning spacecraft measures the flux of charged particles whose velocities lie in a plane containing the magnetic field. This flux may be Fourier analyzed as a function of the spacecraft roll angle. Relationships among the Fourier coefficients are derived using the adiabatic solution of the Vlasov equation.

Physica Status Solidi (a), 1978
The dependence of the growth rate v on the misorientation α of the growing face toward a singular orientation {110} is investigated experimentally for the case of dislocation free growth. Measurements of v(α) are accomplished at LPE garnet films on the base of an interference technique. Slightly parabolically shaped substrate surfaces are used covering

The estimation method of anisotropy coefficient of shear wave velocities
SGEM International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference EXPO Proceedings, 2018© SGEM2018. Cross-dipole acoustic logging traditionally uses to study the anisotropy of the formation acoustic properties. The method is based on comparing the velocities of fast and slow shear waves and calculating the anisotropy coefficient. In the anisotropic formation, the flexural wave is splitting into two modes. The amplitude of cross-components

Anomalous anisotropy in the absorption coefficient of vacancy-ordered Ga2Se3
Journal of Electronic Materials, 1993The structural and optical properties of Ga2Se3 on (100)GaP and (100)GaAs prepared by molecular beam epitaxy have been investigated. The electron diffraction studies revealed that the superstructure was formed in [011] direction by the spontaneous ordering of native gallium-vacancies in the defect zinc blende structure under a selenium-rich growth ...

Anisotropy coefficient in 2d polydisperse model of composite structures
ECMS 2024 Proceedings edited by Daniel Grzonka, Natalia Rylko, Grazyna Suchacka, Vladimir MityushevThe article presents a mathematical model describing the coefficients related to the electrical conductivity of the varistor. Varistor’s conductivity is closely related to its microstructure, which consists of ZnO grains surrounded by an amorphous bismuth oxide layer, in- tergrain areas rich in reaction products between the varistor components, and ...

Evaluation of the normal anisotropy coefficient in AZ31 alloy sheets
Russian Metallurgy (Metally), 2009The Taylor-Bishop-Hill model of plastic deformation is used to determine the dependence of normal anisotropy coefficient R on angle α in the sheet plane (α = 0 in the rolling direction) from texture in the form of the coefficients of expansion of an orientation distribution function into a series in generalized spherical functions for AZ31 magnesium ...

Anisotropy of Effective Gas Diffusion Coefficients in Extruded Carbon Rods
Nature, 1955IT is well known that, in extruded cylindrical samples composed of either particles of amorphous carbon or graphitized carbon, the properties of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity are highly anisotropic1. The anisotropy in these properties is caused by the orientation of the irregular particles with their long side ...
