Formation of Temperature Cracks of Concrete in High-Rise Buildings and the Corresponding Measures
A lot of heat will generate in mass concrete after pouring to form temperature cracks, which will reduce structural stiffness. This paper briefly introduces the principle of solid heat conduction and the cause of temperature crack formation and then used

Characterization of the key membrane protein cytochrome Cyc2 from Ghiorsea bivora
This study reports the first detailed biochemical analysis of Cyc2TAG1_1, a cytochrome protein involved in microbial iron oxidation. We produced and purified this enzyme in E. coli, then measured its iron‐oxidizing efficiency, and characterized its electrical and structural properties.

In this paper an inverse problem for the space fractional heat conduction equation is investigated. Firstly, we describe the approximate solution of the direct problem. Secondly, for the inverse problem part, we define the functional illustrating the error of approximate solution.

Flow Boiling Heat Transfer Enhancement by Using ZnO-Water Nanofluids
Nanofluids are liquid suspensions containing nanoparticles that are smaller than 100 nm. There is an increased interest in nanofluids as thermal conductivity of nanofluids is significantly higher than that of the base liquids.

Experimental determination of efficient thermal conductivity of depth hoar
As a result of laboratory tests, values of the effective thermal conductivity of recrystallized snow were obtained. There are big differences between the coefficient of effective thermal conductivity of depth hoar and granular snow density in the range ...

Transient Heat Diffusion with Temperature‐Dependent Conductivity and Time‐Dependent Heat Transfer Coefficient [PDF]
Lie point symmetry analysis is performed for an unsteady nonlinear heat diffusion problem modeling thermal energy storage in a medium with a temperature‐dependent power law thermal conductivity and subjected to a convective heat transfer to the surrounding environment at the boundary through a variable heat transfer coefficient.

Peripheral Neutrophil Activation and Extracellular Trap Formation in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Markers of neutrophil activation are increased in plasma during ALS, and markers of NET formation associate with ALS survival. ABSTRACT Objectives Peripheral neutrophil levels in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) inversely correlate with survival, suggesting a role for neutrophils in disease progression.

Determination of Radiative Thermal Conductivity in Needlepunched Nonwovens [PDF]
Radiation heat transfer is found to be the dominant mode of heat transfer at temperatures higher than 400-500K [11]. Convection heat transfer being negligible in nonwovens, effective thermal conductivity is given by the sum of its conduction and ...

ABSTRACT Objective Neurochemical levels measured by brain MR spectroscopy (MRS) have been proposed as endpoints for clinical trials in early‐stage spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) trials. We tested their trial‐readiness by quantifying neurochemicals in three affected brain regions in early‐stage cohorts of SCA2 and SCA3, examining their reproducibility in ...
