Detection performance of the circular correlation coefficient receiver

IEEE Transactions on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 1986
The complex circular correlation detector is analyzed for the case of one complex sinusoid in complex white Gaussian noise. The distribution function of the squared modulus of the circular serial correlation coefficient is found when no signal is present, allowing computation of the detection threshold.

Performance of Thermoacoustic Refrigerators: Cooling Load and Coefficient of Performance

Heat Transfer: Volume 3, 2008
Thermoacoustic refrigeration is an environmentally safe refrigeration technology that has evolved over the past three decades [1–5]. The influence of working fluid on the performance of the thermoacoustic refrigerator (TAR) expressed in terms of the cooling load and the coefficient of performance is discussed in the paper.

The Performance of Random Coefficient Regression in Accounting for Residual Confounding

Biometrics, 2006
Summary Greenland (2000, Biometrics56, 915–921) describes the use of random coefficient regression to adjust for residual confounding in a particular setting. We examine this setting further, giving theoretical and empirical results concerning the frequentist and Bayesian performance of random coefficient regression.

Coefficients of performance of hydride heat pumps

Journal of the Less Common Metals, 1983
Abstract A model for calculating the coefficients of performance (COPs) is presented for a chemical heat pump which contains two metal hydrides and which consists of four reactors. Two reactors contain the first metal hydride MH 1 and the other two contain the other metal hydride MH 2 .

Coefficient of performance of Stirling refrigerators

European Journal of Physics, 2017
Stirling coolers transfer heat in or out of the working fluid during all four stages of their operation, and their coefficient of performance depends on whether the non-isothermal heat exchanges are performed reversibly or irreversibly. Both of these possibilities can in principle be arranged. Notably, if the working fluid is an ideal gas, the input of

Coefficients Alpha for the Tactual Performance Test Trials

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 2001
Given the severe assumptions needed for use of the Spearman-Brown reliability formula, the Tactual Performance Test trials data described in 2000 were reanalyzed using coefficient alpha. These values are considered the best estimate of the population reliability for the trials.

Coefficient of Performance of Thermoelectric Cooling on Nanofluids

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
This paper reports on experimental comparisons of coefficient of performance (COP) of a thermoelectric coolingsystem which cooled the hot side of the TEC by water (wc), ethylene glycol (egc) and nanofluids (nfc) The nanofluids is composed of ethylene glycol with silver nano(35 nm).The TEC was composed of the TE cooling modules, heat exchanger, and the ...

Coefficient of performance of multistage absorption cycles

International Journal of Refrigeration, 1987
Abstract A method is presented by which the coefficients of performance of advanced absorption cycles can be calculated very quickly if the efficiencies of single-stage heat pumps and heat transformers are known. The method provides detailed results for the heat input or output of the individual exchange units. These values can be used as a basis for

Coefficient of performance of an ideal absorption cycle

Applied Energy, 1983
Abstract The conventional expression for the coefficient of performance (COP) of an ideal absorption cycle is misleading and a correct expression is derived. The deviation in the COP values from these two expressions increases with the increase in the difference in the absorber and condenser temperatures.

Coefficient of Performance Computation of a Lecture Hall

2021
With improved living standards and rising ambient temperatures, human comfort is the most significant metric in the current environment. Electric air conditioning equipment is not recommended for large structures since it consumes a lot of electricity and has a short lifespan.
