The coefficient of rolling resistance (CoRR) of some pharmaceutical tablets

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2010
Experiments have been conducted to measure the coefficient of rolling resistance (CoRR) of some pharmaceutical tablets and several common materials, such as glass beads and steel ball bearings. CoRR values are required as inputs for discrete element method (DEM) models which can be used to model particulate flows and solid dosage form manufacturing ...

High-speed 3D digital image correlation for measuring tire rolling resistance coefficient

Measurement: Journal of the International Measurement Confederation, 2021
Abstract A novel method is proposed to measure rolling resistance coefficient of high-speed running tire. Compared with the existing rolling resistance coefficient measurement methods, the new approach is non-contact measurement based on the calculation of relative flexible principal strain rate.

CALCULATION OF THE COEFFICIENT OF FREE ROLLING RESISTANCE FOR THE WHEEL WITH DEFORMABLE RIM

Transport engineering, 2022
A new method for calculating rolling resistance is developed. This method includes a simplified structural model of a wheel in the form of a rigid cylinder with a thin viscoelastic rim. The wheel loading mode is considered in the absence of shearing (horizontal) force.

FRICTION AND ROLLING RESISTANCE COEFFICIENTS OF FIG

Acta Horticulturae, 1998
The coefficients of friction and rolling resistance on various surfaces have great importance for designing agricultural machinery. In this research, two different methods were used. Rolling resistance or maximum angle of stability appearing during the rolling of fruits was measured on an inclined plane.

Effect of Tyre Inflation Pressure on Rolling Resistance: Comparing the Values of Coefficient of Rolling Resistance and Rolling Resistance at Variable Tyre Inflation Pressure

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2019

1.
Rolling resistance, is nothing but the rolling drag, is the force resisting the motion when a body rolls on a surface. It is mainly caused by non-elastic effects; that is, not all the energy needed for deformation of the wheel, roadbed ...
