High coercivity magnetic multi-wall carbon nanotubes for low-dimensional high-density magnetic recording media

open access: yes, 2012
100學年度研究獎補助論文Fe-embedded multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were fabricated using Fe-catalyst by the chemical deposition method. Microscopic characterizations showed that the well-aligned MWCNTs were ∼ 80 mm in length, with outer diameter of 20–50 nm ...

Historical Foundation and Practical Guideline for Ferroelectric Switching Kinetic Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The P and U pulses in the conventional PUND measurements are not identical because of the interplay between switching current and the measurement circuit components. This circuit effect can lead to a shift in polarization transients and misinterpreted physics in the switching kinetics.

Development of a Three‐Axis Planar Hall Magnetoresistance Sensor Using a Superparamagnetic Nanoparticle‐Based Flux Guide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A printed superparamagnetic nanoparticle‐based flux guide enables the realization of a hysteresis‐free three‐axis magnetic sensor. This innovative architecture efficiently redirects out‐of‐plane fields to planar sensing elements, facilitating simultaneous vector detection without complex reset protocols.

The Impact of Ho Addition on the Microstructural Features and Magnetic Performances of Sintered NdFeB Magnets

open access: yesMagnetochemistry
Two NdFeB magnets with distinct compositions were fabricated via an identical process. One magnet was doped with 2.5 wt.% of Ho, whereas the other remained undoped.

Mesoscale Domain Evolution Mechanism during Alternating Current (AC) Poling of Relaxor Ferroelectrics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ferroelectric domain variants that are energetically equivalent are expected to remain preserved during polarization reversal. However, phase‐field simulations reveal that inclined domain walls in relaxor ferroelectrics can undergo irreversible elimination during alternating current poling through a proximity effect driven by long‐range elastic ...

Biotemplating arrays of nanomagnets using the biomineralisation protein Mms6 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
High quality magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are used in applications such as electronic data storage. Current methods for synthesising the consistent MNPs required use high temperatures, harsh chemicals and bespoke equipment.

Giant Magnetic Coercivity Driven by Spin‐Bag Ferromagnetism in Epitaxial Sr3YCo4O10+δ Films with Engineered 2D Oxygen Vacancy Ordering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant magnetic coercivity and a vertical shift of hysteresis loops are demonstrated in Sr3YCo4O10+δ epitaxial films. The hard magnetic behavior originates from ferromagnetic spin bags stabilized within a long‐range ordered oxygen‐vacancy structure.

Mechanism Analysis of Coercivity Enhancement of Hot Deformed Nd-Fe-B Magnets by DyF3 Diffusion

open access: yes, 2013
Isotropic and anisotropic Nd-Fe-B magnets with 2 wt% DyF3 addition are successfully prepared. With the addition of 2 wt% DyF3, the coercivity of the hot-pressed magnets increases from 20.52 kOe to 23.13 kOe by increasing the hot-pressed temperature. BSEM

Ferroelectric Quantum Dots for Retinomorphic In‐Sensor Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work has provided a protocol for fabricating retinomorphic phototransistors by integrating ferroelectric ligands with quantum dots. The resulting device combines ferroelectricity, optical responsiveness, and low‐power operation to enable adaptive signal amplification and high recognition accuracy under low‐light conditions, while supporting ...
