The single component flavin reductase/flavin dependent halogenase AetF catalyzes halogenation of a diverse set of substrates. High site selectivity, activity on relatively unactivated substrates, and high enantioselectivity for atroposelective bromination and bromolactonization was demonstrated.

The ΔRMSF$\Delta {\rm RMSF}$ analysis reveals significant flexibility differences between free NS3 and the NS2B/NS3 complex, with notable deviations in specific regions. Key residues driving NS2B binding are identified, and the protonation state of catalytic serine affects oxyanion hole formation.

A lyophilized preparation of an unspecific peroxygenase variant from Agrocybe aegerita (rAaeUPO‐PaDa‐I‐H) is a highly effective catalyst for the oxygenation of a diverse range of N‐heterocyclic compounds. Scalable, high yielding and enantioselective biocatalytic oxygenations have been developed, including 27 preparative examples (ca.

SPHINGOSINE-1-PHOSPHATE: A MISSING COFACTOR FOR THE E3 UBIQUITIN LIGASE TRAF2
Tumour-necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-associated factor 2 (TRAF2) is a key component in NF-κB signalling triggered by TNF-α. Genetic evidence indicates that TRAF2 is necessary for the polyubiquitination of receptor interacting protein 1 (RIP1) that then ...

Taylor Expansion Proof of the Matrix Tree Theorem - Part I [PDF]
The Matrix-Tree Theorem states that the number of spanning trees of a graph is given by the absolute value of any cofactor of the Laplacian matrix of the graph. We propose a very short proof of this result which amounts to comparing Taylor expansions.

Flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) is an essential cofactor for numerous flavoenzymes present in all living organisms. The biosynthesis of FAD from riboflavin involves two sequential reactions catalyzed by riboflavin kinase and flavin adenine dinucleotide

AKT1 Phosphorylates FDX1 to Promote Cuproptosis Resistance in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer
This study demonstrates that copper activates the AKT signaling pathway, which inhibits ferredoxin‐1 (FDX1), a key regulator of cuproptosis. AKT1‐mediated FDX1 phosphorylation not only abrogates FDX1‐induced cuproptosis and aerobic respiration but also promotes glycolysis.

This study explores the structural heterogeneity and evolutionary adaptations of heteromultimeric bacterioferritins. Hetero‐Bfrs, evolved from either a homo‐Bfr or Ftn by gene duplications, differ from homo‐Bfrs substantially in the mechanisms underpinning iron oxidation and reduction despite high similarity in overall structure.
