Reduction of Cogging Torque in Permanent Magnet Motors
EPS (Electric Power Steering) enables an increase in automotive fuel efficiency by 3-5% and contributes to the protection of the environment by eliminating the oil medium used in conventional hydraulic power steering. For this reason a sharp increase in demand for EPS is expected.

Reducing the cogging torque effects in hybrid stepper machines by means of resonant controllers [PDF]
Permanent magnet machines are not free from the interaction between magnets and the stator and rotor slots, which causes an undesired disturbing torque.

Influence of skew and cross-coupling on flux-weakening performance of permanent-magnet brushless AC machines [PDF]
A method is proposed for predicting the flux-weakening performance of permanent-magnet (PM) brushless ac machines accounting for skew and d-q axis cross-coupling.

Comparative analysis of partitioned stator flux reversal PM machine and magnetically geared machine operating in Stator-PM and Rotor-PM modes [PDF]
In this paper, the partitioned stator flux reversal permanent magnet (PM) (PS-FRPM) machine and the conventional magnetically geared (MG) machine operating in both stator-PM (SPM) and rotor-PM (RPM) modes are comparatively analyzed in terms of ...
