Auto Detecting Cognitive Events Using Machine Learning on Pupillary Data [PDF]
Assessing cognitive workload is crucial for human performance as it affects information processing, decision making, and task execution. Pupil size is a valuable indicator of cognitive workload, reflecting changes in attention and arousal governed by the autonomic nervous system.

Culture in Mind - An Enactivist Account: Not Cognitive Penetration But Cultural Permeation [PDF]
Advancing a radically enactive account of cognition, we provide arguments in favour of the possibility that cultural factors permeate rather than penetrate cognition, such that cognition extensively and transactionally incorporates cultural factors ...

Presurgery 72‐h fasting in GB patients leads to adaptations of plasma lipids and polar metabolites. Fasting reduces lysophosphatidylcholines and increases free fatty acids, shifts triglycerides toward long‐chain TGs and increases branched‐chain amino acids, alpha aminobutyric acid, and uric acid.

LIDA: A Working Model of Cognition [PDF]
In this paper we present the LIDA architecture as a working model of cognition. We argue that such working models are broad in scope and address real world problems in comparison to experimentally based models which focus on specific pieces of cognition.

Transcriptome‐wide analysis of circRNA and RBP profiles and their molecular relevance for GBM
CircRNAs are differentially expressed in glioblastoma primary tumors and might serve as therapeutic targets and diagnostic markers. The investigation of circRNA and RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) interactions shows that distinct RBPs play a role in circRNA biogenesis and function.

Both slow wave and rapid eye movement sleep contribute to emotional memory consolidation
Sleep supports memory consolidation, but the specific roles of different sleep stages in this process remain unclear. While rapid eye movement sleep (REM) has traditionally been linked to the processing of emotionally charged material, recent evidence ...

This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.
