Smart Nanotechnologies for Multimodal Neuromodulation and Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Recent advances in smart nanotechnologies are expanding the toolbox for brain interfacing, from wireless neuromodulation and high‐resolution sensing to targeted delivery within the central nervous system. By combining responsive nanomaterials with bioinspired design, these platforms enable multimodal interactions with neurons and glia, while also ...

Remote Magnetomechanical Neuromodulation Uncovers Therapeutic Mechanisms for Alleviating Parkinsonian Symptoms in Freely Moving Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Combining Spatial Multi‐Omics Data to Decipher Spatial Domains and Elucidate Cell Heterogeneity Based on Self‐Supervised Graph Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A self‐supervised multi‐view graph fusion framework integrates spatial multi‐omics, excelling in domain identification and denoising. It reconstructs spatial pseudo‐expression, jointly analyzes multi‐omics data, infers RNA velocity, predicts spatial omics features from single‐cell multi‐omics, and detects spatially dark genes and transcription factors,

A Cognitive Diagnosis Model for Cognitively Based Multiple-Choice Options

Applied Psychological Measurement, 2009
Cognitive or skills diagnosis models are discrete latent variable models developed specifically for the purpose of identifying the presence or absence of multiple fine-grained skills. However, applications of these models typically involve dichotomous or dichotomized data, including data from multiple-choice (MC) assessments that are scored as right or

Diagnosis and treatment of cognitive impairment

Zeitschrift für Gerontologie und Geriatrie, 2019
As a result of the aging population dementia is a growing challenge, especially in healthcare. Nevertheless, cognitive disorders are often not systematically evaluated, especially during hospital stays for other reasons; however, cognitive impairment is associated with a number of geriatric syndromes, including falls, delirium, dysphagia and lack of ...

Test Construction for Cognitive Diagnosis

2010 Asia-Pacific Conference on Wearable Computing Systems, 2010
Traditional test only provides a total score and computer adaptive test (CAT) not only provides examinee’s score but also estimates examinee’s ability. However, both two methods have not studied students’ knowledge states. Cognitive diagnostic assessment (CDA) is designed to measure specific knowledge structures and processing skills in students so as ...
