Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

A Review on Sensor Technologies, Control Approaches, and Emerging Challenges in Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review provides an introspective of sensors and controllers in soft robotics. Initially describing the current sensing methods, then moving on to the control methods utilized, and finally ending with challenges and future directions in soft robotics focusing on the material innovations, sensor fusion, and embedded intelligence for sensors and ...

Ontological Cognitive Map

2008 20th IEEE International Conference on Tools with Artificial Intelligence, 2008
A cognitive map model provides a graphical representation of an influence network between concepts. One drawback of this model is that large cognitive maps are difficult to exploit and understand. This paper introduces an ontological cognitive map model that enables the designer to organize concepts in an ontology. On the one hand, this model provides

The Equivalence of Cognitive Map, Fuzzy Cognitive Map and Multi Value Fuzzy Cognitive Map

2006 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems, 2006
Cognitive map (CM), fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) are two related tools for modeling human being's cognition and facilitating machine deduction over the cognitive model accordingly. FCM has extended CM by modeling the strength of the causal relationship.

Cognitive mapping and certainty neuron fuzzy cognitive maps

Information Sciences, 1997
Abstract Cognitive maps (CMs) and fuzzy cognitive maps (FCMs) are well-established techniques that attempt to emulate the cognitive process of human experts on specific domains by creating causal models as signed/weighted directed graphs of concepts and the various causal relationships that exist between the concepts.

From Fuzzy Cognitive Maps to Granular Cognitive Maps

IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, 2012
In this study, we introduce a concept of a granular fuzzy cognitive map. The generic maps are regarded as graph-oriented models describing relationships among a collection of concepts (represented by nodes of the graph). The generalization of the map comes in the form of its granular connections whose design dwells upon a principle of Granular ...

Orientation in cognitive maps

Cognitive Psychology, 1981
Abstract In 14 experiments, subjects had to “point to” surrounding environmental locations (targets) while imagining themselves in a particular spot facing in various directions (orientations). The spatial information was either committed to memory (cognitive maps) or directly presented on each trial in the visual or tactile modality. Reaction times (

Evidential cognitive maps

Knowledge-Based Systems, 2012
In order to handle uncertain information, this paper proposes evidential cognitive maps (ECMs), similar to the fuzzy cognitive maps (FCMs). ECMs are uncertain-graph structures for representing causal reasoning through the combination of cognitive maps and Dempster Shafer evidence theory.
