Dissecting the Ecological Structure of Health and Disease in the Global Gut Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We introduce Wiredancer, a framework that identifies three continuous ecological factors of the gut microbiota. These factors exhibit distinct patterns across health and disease, jointly capturing disrupted ecological stability and offering a new perspective for precision diagnostics and therapeutic strategies.

MAC Layer Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Networks

open access: yes, 2013
Efficient use of the available licensed radio spectrum is becoming increasingly difficult as the demand and usage of the radio spectrum increases. This usage of the spectrum is not uniform within the licensed band but concentrated in certain frequencies ...

A Brain‐Wide Atlas of Astrocytic Oxytocin Receptors Reveals a Glial Basis for Nucleus Accumbens Modulation of Affiliative Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The cellular actors of oxytocin signaling are under intense scrutiny. A brain‐wide anatomical and functional analysis in mice and rats reveals widespread expression of oxytocin receptors in astrocytes. These receptors are functionally active and, in the nucleus accumbens, selectively regulate male social affiliation.

On the efficiency of distributed spectrum sensing in ad-hoc cognitive radio networks

open access: yes, 2009
In this work we evaluate the efficiency of cooperative spectrum sensing to support cognitive radio operation, when sensing is assigned to the cognitive users, randomly located in the area of a primary network.

An On‐Demand Neuromorphic Vision System Enabled by a Multi‐Paradigm Neuromorphic Device and Hierarchical Reconfigurability Designed from Device to System Level

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An on‐demand ultra‐reconfigurable intelligent vision system with hierarchical reconfigurability from device to system levels is demonstrated. Through co‐design of a multi‐paradigm device, reconfigurable circuits, and adaptive system architecture/algorithms, the system enables seamless switching among spiking, non‐spiking, neuromorphic imaging (NI), and
