Long-lived qubit memory using atomic ions
We demonstrate experimentally a robust quantum memory using a magnetic-field-independent hyperfine transition in 9Be+ atomic ion qubits at a magnetic field B ~= 0.01194 T. We observe that the single physical qubit memory coherence time is greater than 10

Grasp-Dependent Modulations in EEG-EMG Coherence Are Observed in Young but Not Older Adults
EEG-EMG coherence (Corticomuscular coherence – CMC) reveals the functional connection between the cortical activity and muscle activity during voluntary movements. During voluntary movements the cortical and muscle activity are synchronized in the

Topographic distribution of the tibial somatosensory evoked potential using coherence
The objective of the present study was to determine the adequate cortical regions based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) recording.

JPPL: A joint-polarization phase linking algorithm for phase optimization of TSPolInSAR data
In the time-series interferometric SAR (TSInSAR) technology, the phase linking (PL) algorithm can exploit all interferometric combinations to reconstruct the equivalent single master (ESM) interferograms for the phase quality improvement.

Extending Quantum Coherence in Diamond
We experimentally demonstrate over two orders of magnitude increase in the coherence time of nitrogen vacancy centres in diamond by implementing decoupling techniques.

Transform-limited X-ray pulse generation from a high-brightness self-amplified spontaneous-emission free-electron laser [PDF]
A method to achieve high-brightness self-amplified spontaneous emission (HB-SASE) in the free-electron laser (FEL) is described. The method uses repeated nonequal electron beam delays to delocalize the collective FEL interaction and break the radiation ...

An in-depth view of the microscopic dynamics of Ising spin glasses at fixed temperature
Using the dedicated computer Janus, we follow the nonequilibrium dynamics of the Ising spin glass in three dimensions for eleven orders of magnitude.

Coherence stabilization of a two-qubit gate by AC fields [PDF]
We consider a CNOT gate operation under the influence of quantum bit-flip noise and demonstrate that ac fields can change bit-flip noise into phase noise and thereby improve coherence up to several orders of magnitude while the gate operation time ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
