Coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering microscopy
In this paper, new multiphoton microscopy using CARS (coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering) spectroscopy is described. CARS microscopy has the features of non-staining molecular mapping by molecular vibration imaging and three-dimensional resolution by multiphoton process.

Spatial Coherence in Near-Field Raman Scattering
Inelastic light scattering in crystals has historically been treated as a spatially incoherent process, giving rise to incoherent optical radiation. Here we demonstrate that Raman scattering can be spatially coherent, in which case it depends on the dimensionality and symmetry of the scatterer.

High Entropy Wide‐Bandgap Borates with Broadband Luminescence and Large Nonlinear Optical properties
High‐entropy rare‐earth borates exhibit excellent nonlinear optical and broadband luminescence properties arising from multi‐component doping, chemical disorder, increased configurational entropy, and increased lattice and electronic anharmonicity. This formulation enabled us to obtain a large, environmentally stable single crystal with 3X higher laser‐

Inducing an optical Feshbach resonance via stimulated Raman coupling
We demonstrate a novel method of inducing an optical Feshbach resonance based on a coherent free-bound stimulated Raman transition. In our experiment atoms in a Rb87 Bose-Einstein condensate are exposed to two phase-locked Raman laser beams which couple ...

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

State detection using coherent Raman repumping and two-color Raman transfers
We demonstrate state detection based on coherent Raman repumping and a two-color Raman state transfer. The Raman coupling during detection selectively eliminates unwanted dark states in the fluorescence cycle without compromising the immunity of the ...

Three-pulse multiplex coherent anti-Stokes/Stokes Raman scattering (CARS/CSRS) microspectroscopy using a white-light laser source [PDF]
We have developed a three-pulse non-degenerate multiplex coherent Raman microspectroscopic system using a white-light laser source. The fundamental output (1064 nm) of a Nd:YAG laser is used for the pump radiation with the white-light laser output (1100 ...

AgCrP2S6 reveals a momentum‐indirect band edge (≈1.35 eV) and chain‐locked linear dichroism: the first direct transitions emerge at 1.6–1.8 eV for E||a. Resonant Raman and photoemission corroborate this assignment. In ACPS/graphene heterostructures, photocurrent turns on above ≈1.5 eV and follows the same polarization selection rules (anisotropy ≈0.53),
