Conveyor belt clock synchronization
A protocol for synchronizing distant clocks is proposed that does not rely on the arrival times of the signals which are exchanged, and an optical implementation based on coherent-state pulses is described.

Quantum key distribution with realistic states: photon-number statistics in the photon-number splitting attack [PDF]
Quantum key distribution can be performed with practical signal sources such as weak coherent pulses. One example of such a scheme is the Bennett-Brassard protocol that can be implemented via polarization of the signals, or equivalent signals.

Fast TDOA and FDOA Estimation for Coherent Pulse Signals
Time difference of arrival (TDOA) and frequency difference of arrival (FDOA) have been widely used for localizing temporally continuous signals passively.

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Homodyne-like detection for state-discrimination in the presence of phase noise [PDF]
We propose an innovative strategy to discriminate between two coherent states affected by either uniform or gaussian phase noise. The strategy is based on a homodyne-like detection scheme with photon-number-resolving detectors in the regime of low ...

Research on direction of arrival estimation for mixed broadband signals
In practical applications, the signals received by a hydrophone array include coherent and incoherent signals, while estimating the direction of arrival (DOA) of coherent or incoherent signals has been studied for simplicity with poor performance for a ...

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.

Search method for long-duration gravitational-wave transients from neutron stars
We introduce a search method for a new class of gravitational-wave signals, namely long-duration O(hours - weeks) transients from spinning neutron stars. We discuss the astrophysical motivation from glitch relaxation models and we derive a rough estimate

Real‐World Performance of CSF Kappa Free Light Chains in the 2024 McDonald Criteria
ABSTRACT Objective Kappa free light chains (KFLCs) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) have a similar performance to CSF‐restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) for multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. To help with implementation, we set out to resolve several remaining uncertainties: (1) performance in a real‐world cohort and the 2024 McDonald criteria; (2 ...
