Sequential state discrimination of coherent states [PDF]
AbstractSequential state discrimination is a strategy for quantum state discrimination of a sender’s quantum states when N receivers are separately located. In this report, we propose optical designs that can perform sequential state discrimination of two coherent states.

Quantum Fluctuations in Vacuum Energy: Cosmic Inflation as a Dynamical Phase Transition
A variety of models of inflation in the early Universe have been proposed and applied to describe successfully the origin of all possible structures in the Universe.

The relative entropy measure quantifying coherence, a key property of quantum system, is proposed recently. In this note, we firstly investigate structural characterization of maximally coherent states with respect to the relative entropy measure. It is shown that mixed maximally coherent states do not exist and every pure maximally coherent state has ...

Characterizing Quantum Effects in Optically Induced Nanowire Self-Oscillations: Coherent Properties
Mechanical properties of metallic-nanowire self-oscillations are investigated through a coherent-state analysis. We focus on elucidating the time behavior of quantum energy in such oscillations, in addition to the analysis of fluctuations, evolution of ...

Number state filtered coherent states
Number state filtering in coherent states leads to sub-Poissonian photon statistics. These states are more suitable for phase estimation when compared with the coherent states. Nonclassicality of these states is quantified in terms of the negativity of the Wigner function and the entanglement potential.

Coherent state of the Dirac oscillator [PDF]
A coherent state of the Dirac oscillator in (1 + 1) dimensions is constructed. This is a relativistic extension of Schrödinger's coherent state of the nonrelativistic harmonic oscillator.

A Comparison of State-Based Modelling Tools for Model Validation [PDF]
In model-based testing, one of the biggest decisions taken before modelling is the modelling language and the model analysis tool to be used to model the system under investigation. UML, Alloy and Z are examples of popular state-based modelling languages.

COHERENT STATES FOR UNUSUAL POTENTIALS [PDF]
The program to construct minimum-uncertainty coherent states for general potentials works transparently with solvable analytic potentials. However, when an analytic potential is not completely solvable, like for a double-well or the linear (gravitational) potential, there can be a conundrum. Motivated by supersymmetry concepts in higher dimensions, we
