Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Experimental determination of structural motifs of interference-free water undecamer cluster (H2O)11

open access: yesNature Communications
Structural characterization of archetypal water clusters is essential for exploring the nature of aqueous hydrogen-bonding interactions that are responsible for the properties of water.

Localized Vector Optical Nondiffracting Subcycle Pulses

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Structured light is essential in various fields such as imaging, communications, computing, laser microprocessing, and ultrafast and nonlinear optics. The structuring of light can occur in terms of space, amplitude, phase, polarization, time, frequency ...

Chapter 1 Implementing Coherent Memory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
this paper we showhow to write precise speci#cations for coherent and incoherent memory, and how to implement coherent memory in several ways, one of which is on top of incoherent memory.

Coherent spin dynamics and magnetization transport in nanoscale magnetism [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this dissertation, we present a detailed theoretical analysis of the spin dynam- ics in small antiferromagnetic systems in view of macroscopic quantum phenom- ena, possible applications in quantum information processing, and transport of the ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Coherent States for Hopf Algebras [PDF]

open access: yesLetters in Mathematical Physics, 2007
19 pages, uses kluwer.cls; the exposition much improved; an example of deriving the resolution of identity via coherent states for SUq(2) added; the result differs from the proposals in ...

Quantum optical state comparison amplification of coherent states [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
As light propagates through a transmission media, such as an optical fiber, it experiences a length-dependent loss which can reduce the communication efficiency as the transmission distance increases.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
