MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Quantum voting protocol without quantum memory
Most of the quantum voting protocols are impractical due to the currently limited quantum storage capabilities. In this article, based on the interference principle of light, we proposed a new quantum voting protocol without quantum memory.

Highly coherent solid-state quantum bit from a pair of quantum dots [PDF]
In this letter, we propose a scheme to buildup a highly coherent solid-state quantum bit (qubit) from two coupled quantum dots. Quantum information is stored in the state of the electron-hole pair with the electron and hole located in different dots, and

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

A reformulation of Rawnsley’s Kahlerian coherent states (in the framework of geometric quantization) is used in order to investigate the interplay between their local and global properties (projective embeddings) and the relationship with Klauder quantization (via path integrals and the introduction of a metric on the classical phase space).

Non-coherent and Differentially Coherent code acquisition in MIMO assisted DS-CDMA multi-path downlink scenarios [PDF]
In this contribution we investigate both Differentially Coherent (DC) and Non-Coherent (NC) code acquisition schemes in the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO)-aided Direct Sequence-Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA) downlink, when communicating ...

Using density functional theory to describe slowly varying fluctuations at finite temperatures : local magnetic moments in Gd and the ‘not so local’ moments of Ni [PDF]
We briefly describe the density functional theory (DFT)-based 'disordered local moment' (DLM) picture for magnetism at finite temperatures. It shows how relatively slowly fluctuating local moments can emerge from the interacting electrons of many ...

The reference state for finite coherent states. [PDF]
We propose a reference state for finite-dimensional coherent states, which is easy to deal with in comparison to former suggestions which we briefly review.
