Detectors for X-ray Coherent Diffractive Imaging [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2009
This paper examines both current and future requirements for detectors in Coherent X-ray Diffractive Imaging. A set of criteria for a suitable detector for a specific form of CXDI, Fresnel Coherent Diffractive Imaging, is derived. Observations about the challenges to soft X-ray detector science from this new imaging technique are discussed.

Coherent X-Ray Diffraction Imaging of Nanostructures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We present here an overview of Coherent X-ray Diffraction Imaging (CXDI) with its application to nanostructures. This imaging approach has become especially important recently due to advent of X-ray Free-Electron Lasers (XFEL) and its applications to the fast developing technique of serial X-ray crystallography.

Enhancement of Partially Coherent Diffractive Images Using Generative Adversarial Network

open access: yesAI, 2022
We present a deep learning-based generative model for the enhancement of partially coherent diffractive images. In lensless coherent diffractive imaging, a highly coherent X-ray illumination is required to image an object at high resolution.

X-ray in-line holography and holotomography at the NanoMAX beamline

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, 2022
Coherent X-ray imaging techniques, such as in-line holography, exploit the high brilliance provided by diffraction-limited storage rings to perform imaging sensitive to the electron density through contrast due to the phase shift, rather than ...

Three-dimensional coherent X-ray diffraction imaging via deep convolutional neural networks

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials, 2021
As a critical component of coherent X-ray diffraction imaging (CDI), phase retrieval has been extensively applied in X-ray structural science to recover the 3D morphological information inside measured particles.

Single-shot ptychography at a soft X-ray free-electron laser

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
In this work, single-shot ptychography was adapted to the XUV range and, as a proof of concept, performed at the free-electron laser FLASH at DESY to obtain a high-resolution reconstruction of a test sample. Ptychography is a coherent diffraction imaging
