A coincidence degree for bifurcation problems

Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2003
This article deals with coincidence degree for pairs \((L, A)\) of operators in a Hilbert space \(H\); the first operator is assumed to be Leray-Schauder type, the second one compact and monotone. This degree is defined by the equation \[ d_\lambda\bigl( (L,A),D\bigr)= d_{LS}\bigl(I-(I+ \lambda A)^{-1}(I-L), D,0\bigr) \] and has the properties of the ...

Existence, Uniqueness and Exponential Stability of Periodic Solution for Discrete-Time Delayed BAM Neural Networks Based on Coincidence Degree Theory and Graph Theoretic Method [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this work, a general class of discrete time bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks (NNs) is investigated. In this model, discrete and continuously distributed time delays are taken into account.

Contributions to coincidence degree theory of asymptotically homogeneous operators

Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 2008
The article deals with some elementary results on the coincidence degree for mappings of type \(L - N\) between Banach spaces \(X\) and \(Y\), where \(L\) is a Fredholm operator of index \(0\) and \(N\) is a continuous and compact operator. The coincidence degree \(d(L - N,\Omega)\) of such a mapping on the boundary of an open bounded set of \(X\) is ...

Modeling of Multiteeth Contact Meshing Gear Dynamics with Backlash and Coincidence Degree

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
In the present paper, a multiteeth meshing gear contact dynamics model is proposed by introducing a modified robotic contact model. The inertial property, backlash of gear teeth and coincidence degree of gear meshing are considered into the model. In addition, the proposed model is used to simulate discontinuous meshing gear contact.
