Web crippling of cold-formed steel members
Cold-formed, thin-walled flexural steel members are frequently used as structural elements in building. When such a member is subjected to a concentrated load or reaction, its web may cripple due to the high local intensity of the load. This type of failure is denoted as web crippling.

Oxygen Evolution Reaction Catalysts for Acidic‐Media CO2 Electrolyzers
Acidic‐media CO2 electroreduction (CO2R) could decarbonize chemical production, despite relying on rare‐earth elements for anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Transferring the learnings from mature sister technologies (water electrolysis) could accelerate technological development.

Conductive Hydrogels for Exogenous Sensing and Cell Fate Control
We engineer electrically conductive hydrogels by combining sulfated glycosaminoglycans with semiconducting polymers. These hydrogels bind bioactive proteins, including growth factors, whose release or retention can be modulated by low‐voltage stimulation. The hydrogels are also integrated as 3D channels in organic electrochemical transistors as part of

Humid‐Air Condensation Heat Transfer on Hierarchical Structured Superhydrophobic Graphite Composites
Humid‐air condensation on graphite composites shows that making a surface superhydrophobic is not sufficient to enhance heat transfer. A hierarchical CuO/lauric‐acid coating yields spherical droplets but promotes Wenzel‐type pinning and adds effective thermal resistance under operation.

Powder‐to‐Film Conversion of Nickel Single‐Atom Catalysts into Binder‐Free and Resistant Electrodes
A reproducible strategy is reported for fabricating standalone thin‐film electrodes composed of CNx‐supported Ni single‐atom catalysts. The resulting binder‐free electrodes exhibit robust stability, enhanced charge transfer, and superior electrochemical performance, offering scalable opportunities for applications in electrochemistry. ABSTRACT Although

From Copper Nanoparticles to Alumina Encapsulated Porous Layers With Enhanced Mechanical Stability
This study analyzes the synthesis‐structure relation of individual Cu nanoparticles and highly porous nanoparticle‐based Cu films using different sputtering‐based nanoparticle sources. The inherent mechanical instability of the films is tackled with Al2O3 encapsulation through atomic layer deposition, enabling 4‐fold increase in critical force in ...
