Numerical Study of the Impact of Complex Terrain and Soil Moisture on Convective Initiation
The relative importance of topography and soil moisture on the initiation of an afternoon deep convection under weak synoptic-scale forcing was investigated using the weather research and forecasting (WRF) model with high resolution (1.33 km).

Electrostatically‐Stabilized PEG‐Free Lipid Nanoparticles for Systemic Nucleic Acid Delivery
This work describes non‐PEGylated layered lipid nanoparticles (nonPEG LLNPs), a gene delivery platform that improves upon standard PEGylated LNPs via electrostatic adsorption of charged polymers. nonPEG LLNPs maintain colloidal stability under biological stresses, enhance circulation time, and mitigate accelerated blood clearance and hepatic ...

Challenges in water and wastewater transport systems in cold regions [PDF]
The water and wastewater transport systems faces severe challenges due to climate change, resource constrain and an aging infrastructure. In cold regions the challenges are also related to general conditions societies have in common, e.g.

Performance evaluation of a passive house in sub-arctic climate [PDF]
As the operational energy use in buildings contributes highly to the total energy used and greenhouse gases emitted in the cold climate regions of Europe, buildings which are more energy-efficient and less carbon-intensive during operation are key to ...
