The climatology and nature of warm-season convective cells in cold-frontal environments over Germany [PDF]
Cold fronts provide an environment particularly favourable for convective initiation in the mid-latitudes and can also be associated with convective hazards such as flooding, wind, hail and lightning.

Cold Fronts by Merging of Shocks [PDF]
Cold fronts (CFs) are found in most galaxy clusters, as well as in some galaxies and groups of galaxies. We propose that some CFs are relics of merging between two shocks propagating in the same direction. Such shock mergers typically result in a quasi-spherical, factor ~1.4-2.7 discontinuity in density and in temperature. These CFs may be found as far

Objective Identification Method of Cold-Front Precipitation in Winter Half Years over East Asia
Cold front is an important weather system that produces precipitation in East Asia. Under the background of global warming, extreme precipitation caused by cold fronts presents a significant increasing trend.

Physical changes within a large tropical hydroelectric reservoir induced by wintertime cold front activity [PDF]
We investigated the influence of wintertime cold front activity on the physical processes within a large tropical reservoir located in Brazil. The period chosen for this study consisted of 49 days between 28 April 2010 and 15 July 2010.

Cold fronts frequently intrude China in winter, causing air pollution episodes in downwind regions. Fine particulate matter (PM2.5) has been used as a major proxy of air pollution to examine the impacts of cold fronts.

On the influence of the Alps on a cold front [PDF]
This paper discusses the synoptic- scale environment and the scale dependent features of a cold front which crossed southern Bavaria on 8 October 1987. The analysis is based on rawinsonde, Doppler radar, aircraft and surface data. The observations reveal that the front was of the ana-type in the synoptic-scale.

Automatic Detection of Atmospheric Fronts using Numerical Methods on Iran and the Eastern Mediterranean (Case study: April 13-14, 2017) [PDF]
Introduction The weather fronts are known for their large vorticity, dense, moisture, and statical Stability gradients, and their longitudinal scale is one unit greater than their width.
