The genome and proteome of a virulent Escherichia coli O157:H7 bacteriophage closely resembling Salmonella phage Felix O1

open access: yesVirology Journal, 2009
Based upon whole genome and proteome analysis, Escherichia coli O157:H7-specific bacteriophage (phage) wV8 belongs to the new myoviral genus, "the Felix O1-like viruses" along with Salmonella phage Felix O1 and Erwinia amylovora phage φEa21-4. The genome

Unwinding of circular helicoidal molecules versus size

open access: yes, 2015
The thermodynamical stability of a set of circular double helical molecules is analyzed by path integral techniques. The minicircles differ only in \textit{i)} the radius and \textit{ii)} the number of base pairs ($N$) arranged along the molecule axis ...

Biochemical Characterization of RNA Coliphage MX1

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1983
In order to clarify the taxonomic status of an RNA coliphage, MX1 (a serological intermediate between groups III and IV), we examined (i) read-through protein synthesis in a cell-free protein-synthesizing system, (ii) the peptide map of the coat protein and (iii) the RNA sequence in the 3'-terminal region of MX1 RNA.
