Extraction of the Iris Collarette Based on Constraint Interruption CV Model
2016This paper proposes a method to extract collarette based on CV model with constraints. With different degrees of strength of multi-border iris image, this method realized the extraction of such complex collarette with weak border. The method analyzes the variation of the model parameters during optimization, controls model parameters by detecting ...

Collarette scaling in pityriasis rosea demonstrated by digital epiluminescence dermatoscopy
Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 2001SUMMARYCollarette scaling is a characteristic sign in pityriasis rosea. The use of digital epiluminescence dermatoscopy is proposed to assist in the recognition of this sign as this technique can magnify the lesions, eliminate other epidermal changes, and demonstrate the morphology and direction of scaling.

An Iris Recognition Method Based On Zigzag Collarette Area and Asymmetrical Support Vector Machines
2006 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2006We propose an improved iris recognition method for person identification using an iris segmentation approach based on chain code and zigzag collarette area with support vector machine (SVM). The zigzag collarette area is selected as a personal identification pattern which captures only the most important areas of iris complex pattern and better ...

Iris Recognition Based on Zigzag Collarette Region and Asymmetrical Support Vector Machines
2007This paper presents an iris recognition technique based on the zigzag collarette region for segmentation and asymmetrical support vector machine to classify the iris pattern. The deterministic feature sequence extracted from the iris images using the 1D log-Gabor filters is applied to train the support vector machine (SVM).

When ideas or tactics catch on across parties in a multiparty system the process is termed contagion. Scholars have identified many examples of contagion, particularly dealing with gender quotas and the number of female candidates. The theory of contagion has, however, suffered from both narrow application and underdevelopment historically ...
