Nanotechnology in Skin Cancer Therapy: Recent Progress in Targeted Delivery

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Skin cancer, encompassing melanoma and non‐melanoma types, remains a significant public health concern globally. Conventional therapies—such as surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy—are constrained by poor skin penetration, systemic toxicity, and high recurrence rates.

Robotic arm‐assisted total knee arthroplasty reduces postoperative inflammatory response and blood loss compared to manual total knee arthroplasty: A matched‐pairs analysis of 688 patients

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose Robotic arm‐assisted total knee arthroplasty (raTKA) has demonstrated several advantages over manual TKA (mTKA), including enhanced early recovery. Reduced soft tissue trauma and avoidance of femoral intramedullary canal opening have been hypothesised to lower the systemic inflammatory response.

The role of the host—Neutrophil biology

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Neutrophilic polymorphonuclear leukocytes (neutrophils) are myeloid cells packed with lysosomal granules (hence also called granulocytes) that contain a formidable antimicrobial arsenal. They are terminally differentiated cells that play a critical role in acute and chronic inflammation, as well as in the resolution of inflammation and wound ...

Non‐Histone Lactylation: A New Frontier in Cerebral Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesMed Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Reperfusion therapy is the mainstay of treatment for ischemic stroke (IS) but frequently exacerbates secondary injury. Following cerebral ischemia and hypoxia, lactate accumulates markedly. Traditionally regarded as a metabolic byproduct, lactate has gained new significance with the discovery of protein lactylation. In addition to experimental

Combined angiography and perfusion using radial imaging and arterial spin labeling with structural contrast

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To develop a non‐contrast MRI method for the simultaneous acquisition of time‐resolved 3D angiographic, perfusion, and multi‐contrast T1‐weighted structural brain images in a single 6 min acquisition. Methods The proposed combined angiography and perfusion using radial imaging and arterial spin labeling with structural contrast (CAPRIA+

Acute hemichorea‐hemiballism as the initial sign of cortical cerebral infarction: A case report

open access: yesNeuroprotection, EarlyView.
Abstract Hemichorea‐hemiballism is classically associated with the contralateral basal ganglia, particularly involving the putamen and subthalamic nucleus, whereas cortical involvement remains a rare etiology. In this case, we present a patient with acute hemichorea‐hemiballism secondary to multiple cortical infarcts demonstrated by neuroimaging.
