Incidence and Determinants of Steatotic Liver Disease after Pancreaticoduodenectomy: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Steatotic liver disease (SLD) is an unrecognized complication after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) and may affect nutrition and long‐term recovery. This meta‐analysis estimated the incidence of SLD after PD and identified its clinical and surgical risk factors.

Shear Wave Elastography for Characterization of Breast Lesions in Clinical Routine

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound in Medicine, EarlyView.
Objectives Breast cancer remains a major global health challenge, and conventional B‐mode ultrasound frequently encounters limitations in reliably distinguishing benign from malignant lesions, particularly within intermediate Breast Imaging‐Reporting and Data System (BI‐RADS) categories.

Post‐Radiation Granuloma Annulare: A Series of Three Cases

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We report typical cases of biopsy confirmed granuloma annulare occurring on irradiated skin in the context of breast cancer in three women in their seventies. The lesions appeared immediately after start of irradiation in one patient, 4 and 15 months after the end of radiation treatment in the other two. The lesions eventually spread elsewhere

Radiotherapy‐Induced Otitis Media With Effusion in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
This meta‐analysis of eight studies comprising 582 NPC patients provides the first quantitative synthesis of radiotherapy‐induced otitis media with effusion (OME), demonstrating a significant overall risk difference of 0.18 (95% CI: −0.06 to 0.42, p < 0.0001) in OME naive ears.

The Natural History of Residual and Recurrent Disease in Advanced Juvenile Nasopharyngeal Angiofibroma: A Systematic Review

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
Residual and recurrent disease in advanced juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibromas (JNAs) demonstrate spontaneous involution, reduction in size, or long‐term stability following initial treatment in 95% of patients. In this systematic review of 131 patients with advanced JNA, only 2% of patients demonstrated disease progression during surveillance, but ...

Aliphatic Poly(Carbonate)s with Acid Responsive Release Mechanisms for Micellar Anti‐Tumor Drug Delivery

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Micellar systems based on biodegradable aliphatic polycarbonates and acid‐responsive triggers enhance drug solubility, stability, and tumor‐selective release. This review covers micelles with acid‐cleavable drug linkages and those that disassemble via acid‐sensitive functionalities.
