Collective excitations of 3He clusters
Zeitschrift für Physik D Atoms, Molecules and Clusters, 1991Collective excitations of3He clusters are studied by treating the cluster as a quantum liquid drop. We have used the Random-Phase Approximation sum rules technique within a Density Functional Formalism. Results forL=2 to 10 surface modes and theL=0 volume mode are presented.

Collective excitations in antidots
Physical Review Letters, 1991Antidot structures have been prepared by etching arrays of 100-nm holes into a two-dimensional electron gas of ${\mathrm{Ga}}_{\mathit{x}}$${\mathrm{In}}_{1\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}\mathit{x}}$As quantum wells. In the far-infrared response we observe the unique collective excitation spectrum of antidots.

Collective excitations in145Ba
Zeitschrift fr Physik A: Atoms and Nuclei, 1978High-spin levels in125Ba have been produced in the116Sn(12C, 3n) reaction and studied by in-beam spectroscopic methods. Two strongly populated band structures are observed. The odd-parity one is based on a 7/2− state and can be explained as the result of the coupling between anh11/2 neutron-hole and a prolate type triaxial core.

Collective excitations of helium clusters
Physical Review Letters, 1990The excitation spectra of compressional modes of {sup 4}He{sub {ital N}}, {ital N}=20, 70, and 240, clusters at 0 K are calculated by treating the cluster as a quantum liquid drop. The spectrum of {ital N}=240 strongly resembles that of liquid helium with a visible roton structure, while for {ital N}=20 no roton minimum is seen and {ital N}=70 shows a ...

Collective Nuclear Excitations
2008We showed in Sect. 17.3 that the nuclear ground states may be well described if we assume that the nucleons are in the lowest shell model orbits. The single particle picture, we further showed for the case of a single valence nucleon or nucleon hole, works very well if shells are nearly full or empty. Excited states are then understood as being created

Collective excitations in superconductors
Zeitschrift für Physik, 1974The excitations connected with quantum condensation of a fermion gas are calculated quantitatively along the lines of a previous paper. We find exact agreement with earlier results: excitations of the phonon type in the absence of Coulomb interaction, strong indications for their nonexistence in the presence of this interaction.

Collective excitations in 106Cd
Nuclear Physics A, 1994High Spin states in 106Cd were populated by the reactions Zr-94(O-17, 5n) and Ge(S-32, 4n) at 80 MeV and at 148 MeV, respectively.

Collective Excitations in Supercritical Fluids
2015Recent progress in theoretical and simulation studies of collective excitations in supercritical fluids is reviewed. We discuss a methodology of fit-free estimation of dispersion of longitudinal and transverse excitations in simple fluids. The issue of vanishing positive sound dispersion--a viscoelastic increase of the speed of sound from adiabatic one
