Collective excitations in 88Y

Nuclear Physics A, 1981
Abstract High-spin states in 88Y were excited through the 87Rb(α, 3n) reaction at energies between 30 and 55 MeV. The population of the previously known 8+ and 9+ members of the πg 9 2 ⊗ v −1 g 9 2 multiplet carry most of the total cross section.

Collective charge-order excitations

Physica C: Superconductivity and its Applications, 2010
Charge-ordered states are observed among low-dimensional transition metal oxides as well as in organic conductors. The physical properties reveal far-reaching similarities that have not been explored so far. The low-energy electrodynamic properties exhibit information about the collective response and fluctuation effects that might be crucial for ...

Surface Collective Excitations

1983
The first part of this article is a basic introduction to the theory of surface collective excitations from the macroscopic point of view. The solution of the elastic wave equation and of the Maxwell equations combined with the appropriate boundary conditions yields the dispersion relations of Rayleigh waves and of polaritons associated with surface ...

Collective vibrational excitations in

Journal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics, 1999
Recent studies of vibrational excitations in deformed nuclei have led to a close re-investigation of low-lying excitations in deformed nuclei. We have measured lifetimes of levels in three bands at 1199, 1434 and 1772 keV. The results point to the observation of a collective band at 1772 keV that decays to the band at 1199 keV with collective ...

Collective excitations in superconductors

Physica, 1973
Abstract The problem of collective excitations in short-range interaction model of a superconductor is studied by means of the Bethe-Salpeter equation for a matrix of vertex functions. Goldstone bosons and excitation-like modes are found, in the limit of vanishing momentum.

Collective excitations in atoms

Physics Letters A, 1976
Abstract Shape oscillations of neutral and ionized atoms about the Thomas-Fermi ground state are investigated. Bloch's linearized hydrodynamic equations are derived from a variational principle which permits an estimate of the location of the lowest lying excitations of any multipolarity.

Collective excitations in a doped antiferromagnet

Physical Review B, 1990

Collective excitations in layered organic conductors

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2010
We apply the dielectric formalism within random phase approximation (RPA) and G0W0 approximation to the tight-binding multiband systems with the three-dimensional long-range Coulomb interaction in order to calculate the one-particle spectral function for TTF-TCNQ, and to investigate dielectric properties of quasi-two-dimensional conductor β″–(BEDT –TTF)

COLLECTIVE EXCITATIONS IN AMORPHOUS ICE

Коллоидный журнал / Colloid Journal
The paper presents the results of a study of microscopic collective excitations in low-density amorphous ice obtained by molecular dynamics simulation based on the monatomic ML-mW model of the intermolecular interaction potential. The calculated spectra of longitudinal C(k, ω) and transverse C(k, ω) currents reveal the presence of propagating ...
