Clinical Characteristics of Keratitis Due toColletotrichum gloeosporioides
Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 2011To determine the characteristics of the keratitis due to Colletotrichum gloeosporioides. The medical records of 3 cases of fungal keratitis caused by C. gloeosporioides were reviewed to determine the clinical characteristics. The minimal inhibitory concentrations of different antifungal drugs for all 3 isolates were determined. All 3 isolates were grown

Keratitis by a rare pathogen Colletotrichum gloeosporioides : A case report
Journal de Mycologie Médicale, 2017Colletotrichum species have been reported infrequently as the cause of keratitis or subcutaneous lesions. The patient we describe developed keratitis after ocular trauma. The sample from the corneal scrapings grew Colletotrichum gloeosporioides as identified from morphological characters and DNA sequence of the 'Internal Transcribed Spacer' (ITS ...

Abstract An endopolygalacturonase from C. gloeosporioides was purified 130-fold to apparent homogeneity using phenyl sepharose chromatography followed by isoelectric focusing. The purified preparations contained two polygalacturonase species of 68 and 62 kD based on SDS gel electrophoresis and thin layer gel electrofocusing.

Treatment resistant fungal keratitis caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
Archivos de la Sociedad Española de Oftalmología (English Edition), 2016A 56 year old woman suffered corneal injury from a branch of an orange tree. Forty days later she suffered a severe ocular infection, positive to Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (C. gloeosporioides). The patient did not respond to traditional treatment or crosslinking, and had to be treated with keratoplasty, suffering intraoperative and postoperative ...

Blight of conifer seedlings caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides
New Forests, 1987In a growth chamber experiment, 70-day-old seedlings of 10 conifer species were inoculated with Colletotrichum gloeosporioides conidia to determine the host range of the fungus. Based on the percentage of seedlings affected and the disease severity on individual seedlings, the order of most to least susceptibility was: western hemlock (WH), mountain ...

Antifungal Activity of Chitosan Against Colletotrichum Gloeosporioides
2009 3rd International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Engineering, 2009Chitosan, derived from chitin by partial N-deacetylation, has been found to be non-toxic, biocompatible and biodegrable. So chitosan has high economic value and environmental impact. The study mainly compared the antifungal activities with two types of chitosan (W-CS, I-CS).
