The motivation, feasibility and potential for two unconventional collider concepts - the Gamma-Gamma Collider and the Muon Collider - are described. The importance of the development of associated technologies such as high average power, high repetition rate lasers and ultrafast phase-space techniques are outlined.

Colorful particle production at high-energy muon colliders
A high-energy μ + μ − collider provides a wide variety of mechanisms for the production of new heavy particles. While the reach for such particles via the direct annihilation of μ + μ − will approach the center-of-mass energy of the collider, the ...

Nanoscale metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and nanocellulose composites have significant potential for the multi‐functional remediation of the environment. This review focused on the synthesis strategies (in situ growth, ex situ growth, and other approaches), typical forms (aerogel, hydrogel, beads, and membrane), and applications in the removal of ...

Thermionics in Topological Materials
Thermionics is one of the fundamental energy conversion mechanisms in solid state systems. Recent development in topological materials opens new avenues in developing thermionic systems and devices. Due to the linear energy dispersion and topological protection of charge transport, these new materials are promising candidates for high efficiency ...

Accompanying Structural Transformations in Polarity Switching of Heavily Doped Conjugated Polymers
The polarity switching of heavily doped p‐type conjugated polymers (CPs) toward environmentally stable electron‐rich thin films is demonstrated. Multiscale analyses, incorporating spectroscopic, electrochemical, and scattering techniques, reveal structural and chemical transformations induced by excessive doping with AuCl3.
