Diverse Landscape of Tunable Magnetic, Topological, and Ferroelectric States in 2D Ti3Se3Te2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ti3Se3Te2 emerges as a multifunctional 2D van der Waals platform. The monolayer is a dynamically stable ferromagnetic quantum anomalous Hall insulator. In bilayers, two stacking configurations yield distinct phases: AA‐stacking hosts an altermagnetic quantum spin Hall insulator, while AA′‐stacking exhibits three‐state in‐plane ferroelectricity ...

Minimizing the effects of overfitting and collinearity in construction cost estimation : a new hybird approach

open access: yes, 2014
Research problem: Overfitting and collinearity problems commonly exist in current construction cost estimation applications and obstruct researchers and practitioners in achieving better modelling results.

Decoupling Intrinsic Molecular Efficacy From Platform Effects: An Interpretable Machine Learning Framework for Unbiased Perovskite Passivator Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes an interpretable machine learning framework that disentangles the intrinsic molecular efficacy of passivators from experimental platform effects—enabling unbiased, high‐throughput discovery of effective perovskite surface modifiers.

The Accumulation Effect

open access: yesNordicom Review, 2005
Although numerous studies over the past 20 years have revealed a clear connection between content analysis statistics and the results of public opinion surveys, the media’s “minimal effects” hypothesis still remains the overwhelmingly prevailing view ...

The Collinearity Structure

open access: yes, 2008
Summary. The text includes basic axioms and theorems concerning the collinearity structure based on Wanda Szmielew [1], pp. 18-20. Collinearity is defined as a relation on Cartesian product [:S, S, S:] of set S.

Analysis of collinearity among soil variables.

open access: yes
Collinearity matrix of candidate R. sibiricus predictor soil variables. Collinearity threshold is R > 0.75. Collinearity of variables increases with the depth of blue and red colors. Correlation strength increases with circle size. (TIF)

Directional Sensitivity of Gaze-Collinearity Features in Liveness Detection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
To increase the trust in using face recognition systems, these need to be capable of differentiating between face images captured from a real person and those captured from photos or similar artifacts presented at the sensor.

Enhancing Biogenic Formic Acid Production in the Modified OxFA Process by Acetonitrile Addition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, the beneficial effect of using acetonitrile as a co‐solvent in the modified OxFA process is shown, outperforming methanol, demonstrating improved reaction kinetics combined with high selectivity for the HPA‐2 (H5PV2Mo10O40) catalyzed oxidation of xylose to FA.
