A Differential Game Approach to Multi-agent Collision Avoidance

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2017
A multi-agent system consisting of $N$ agents is considered. The problem of steering each agent from its initial position to a desired goal while avoiding collisions with obstacles and other agents is studied. This problem, referred to as the multi-agent

System-size scan of dihadron azimuthal correlations in ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions

open access: yes, 2011
System-size dependence of dihadron azimuthal correlations in ultra-relativistic heavy ion collision is simulated by a multi-phase transport model. The structure of correlation functions and yields of associated particles show clear participant path ...

Comparative Wear and Friction Analysis of Sliding Surface Materials for Hydrostatic Bearing under Oil Supply Failure Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrostatic bearings excel in high‐precision applications, but their performance hinges on a continuous external supply. This study evaluates various material combinations for sliding surfaces to mitigate damage during supply failures or misalignment and to discover the most effective materials identified for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of

Low‐Activation Compositionally Complex Alloys for Advanced Nuclear Applications—A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐activation compositionally complex alloys (LACCAs) are advanced metallic materials primarily composed of low‐activation elements, offering advantages such as rapid compliance with operational standards and safe recyclability. This review highlights their potential for extreme high‐temperature irradiation environments as structural materials for ...

Optimising the care of the trapped patient following a motor vehicle collision: A UK-Based Delphi consensus study

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Trauma, Resuscitation and Emergency Medicine
Background Motor vehicle collisions (MVCs) are a leading cause of injury and death worldwide. Up to 40% of casualties may become trapped and entrapment is associated with delayed care and worse outcomes.

Device-to-Device Communications in Unlicensed Spectrum: Problem Identification and Performance Maximization

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Device-to-device (D2D) communication is such a paradigm that anticipated to play a cabalistic role for the next-generation cellular networks especially for the 5G cellular network as it promises to extend the network coverage and offload some traffics ...

Magmatic record of India-Asia collision

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2015
New geochronological and geochemical data on magmatic activity from the India-Asia collision zone enables recognition of a distinct magmatic flare-up event that we ascribe to slab breakoff.

Polar molecule reactive collisions in quasi-1D systems

open access: yes, 2014
We study polar molecule scattering in quasi-one-dimensional geometries. Elastic and reactive collision rates are computed as a function of collision energy and electric dipole moment for different confinement strengths.

Sol–Gel Synthesis of Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 Semiconducting Materials for Thermoelectric Applications in Aerospace Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 semiconductor materials are synthesized and produced in this study using the sol–gel and cold pressing techniques for thermoelectric generator applications. As template samples are added, the Seebeck coefficient and power factor values rise, peaking at 800 °C for Ca2.5Ag0.3Sm0.2Co4O9 at 274.47 μV K−1 and 0.58 mW mK−2, respectively.
