A First Physical-World Trajectory Prediction Attack via LiDAR-induced Deceptions in Autonomous Driving [PDF]
Trajectory prediction forecasts nearby agents' moves based on their historical trajectories. Accurate trajectory prediction is crucial for autonomous vehicles. Existing attacks compromise the prediction model of a victim AV by directly manipulating the historical trajectory of an attacker AV, which has limited real-world applicability.

Cell shape changes underlie animal development, physiology, and disease. The cell surface is mechanosensitive to the microenvironment and cytoskeleton activities, which generate plasma membrane topographies recognized and affected by Arp2/3 actin network induction pathways to remodel cell shape during immune cell migration, neural progenitor cell ...

Modeling Electromagnetic Signal Injection Attacks on Camera-based Smart Systems: Applications and Mitigation [PDF]
Numerous safety- or security-critical systems depend on cameras to perceive their surroundings, further allowing artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze the captured images to make important decisions. However, a concerning attack vector has emerged, namely, electromagnetic waves, which pose a threat to the integrity of these systems.

Five obtained peptides exhibited high radical scavenging activities in the following order: F5 > F3 > F1 > F2 > F4.; F5 has the highest activities for DPPH‐IC50 was 21.75 μg/mL, hydroxyl‐IC50 was 18.75 μg/mL, and Superoxide‐IC50 was 11.00 μg/mL and the reducing power was 2.54 OD700.; F5 had the highest antioxidant activity and not only prevented the ...

Lost in Overlap: Exploring Logit-based Watermark Collision in LLMs [PDF]
The proliferation of large language models (LLMs) in generating content raises concerns about text copyright. Watermarking methods, particularly logit-based approaches, embed imperceptible identifiers into text to address these challenges. However, the widespread usage of watermarking across diverse LLMs has led to an inevitable issue known as ...

Purple and red rice (Oryza sativa L.) bran polyphenols show antiobesity and antidiabetic activities
Abstract Background and Objectives Rice bran is a source of bioactive polyphenols. This study aimed to characterize the antidiabetic potential of different rice brans (one brown, two red, and two purple) by examining their ability to inhibit α‐amylase, α‐glucosidase, and pancreatic lipase, and to stimulate glucose uptake in adipocytes.

Identification of Electrolyte Salts in Lithium‐Ion Battery Black Mass
Ion chromatographic and thermal analyses demonstrated that the PF6– ions in LIB black mass were not due to LiPF6 residues. Instead, industrial samples contained NaPF6. As a result, thermal treatments showed an increased F– concentration due to PF6– decomposition, which complicates lithium recycling due to the immobilization of LiF.

Phosphorylation at the Helm: Kinase‐Mediated Regulation of Primary Cilia Assembly and Disassembly
ABSTRACT The primary cilium serves as an antenna of most vertebrate cells and is important for conveying cues from several signaling pathways into appropriate cellular responses during development and homeostasis. Cilia assembly and disassembly processes are thought to be strictly controlled; however, the precise nature of molecular events underlying ...

Abstract Research provides a compelling list of reasons why offspring should be included in honest conversations about disease when the disease affects their caregivers. Despite this, we lack in‐depth knowledge about how families affected by the severe and complex genetic condition Huntington's disease (HD) experience talking about the many aspects of ...
