Collision strengths and oscillator strengths for Fe IX

Atomic Data and Nuclear Data Tables, 1991
Abstract Collision strengths and oscillator strengths are calculated for Fe IX. The three configurations 3 s 2 3 p 6 , 3 s 2 3 p 5 3 d , and 3 s 2 3 p 5 4 s were included in the computations. The data can be applied to the analysis of spectral lines in the solar spectrum and laboratory sources. The collision calculations were executed with the

Electron-impact collision strengths for neutral fluorine

Physical Review A, 1994
Configuration-interaction wave functions are constructed for the lowest 11 atomic target states of neutral fluorine. These wave functions are used to calculate target-state energies and absorption oscillator strengths for the dipole-allowed transitions.

Collision strengths for transitions in Ni XIX

Pramana, 2007
In this paper we present calculations of electron impact excitation collision strengths for transitions among the 89 fine-structure levels of the 2s22p6, 2s22p53l, 2s2p63l, 2s22p54l, and 2s2p64l configurations of Ni XIX, for which flexible atomic code (FAC) has been adopted. Comparisons are made with the earlier available results in the literature, and

A study on the structural strength of ships in collision

Strength of Materials, 1976
1. The energy absorption by a ship damaged as a result of a collision can be found by static experiment, and the effect of the collision velocity on energy absorption can be corrected in accordance with the increase of the material constant due to the enhanced strain rate. 2.

Electron impact collision strengths in Sn XXIII

Atomic Data and Nuclear Data Tables, 2008
Abstract The energy levels, multipole (E1, M1, E2, and M2) transition rates, and electron-impact collision strengths are calculated for Sn XXIII. The data refer to 107 fine-structure levels belonging to the configurations (1s22s22p6)3s23p63d10, 3s23p63d94l, 3s23p53d104l, and 3s3p63d104l(l = s, p, d, and f). The collision strengths are calculated with

Collision Strengths for Electron Excitation of Coronal Ions

Highlights of Astronomy, 1971
Using general purpose computer programmes developed by Drs. Eissner and Nussbaumer at University College London for the solution of atomic structure and atomic collision problems, collision strengths have been obtained for transitions between terms of the ground and first few excited configurations of ions of interest in studies of the solar corona ...

The Concept of Collision Strength and Its Applications

Collision strength, the measure of strength for a binary collision, hasn't been defined clearly. In practice, many physical arguments have been employed for the purpose and taken for granted. A scattering angle has been widely and intensively used as a measure of collision strength in plasma physics for years.
