EDNRA Forms a Positive Feedback Loop with the Hippo/YAP Axis to Drive Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Endothelin receptor type A (EDNRA) and the Hippo/YAP pathway form a self‐reinforcing loop that sustains triple‐negative breast cancer. EDNRA activates YAP through Gαq/11–Rho/ROCK–LATS signaling, while YAP/TEAD4 reciprocally drives EDNRA transcription.

Von Fakiren, Bajaderen und Maharadschas. Der koloniale Blick in der frühen Porträtfotografie Indiens

open access: yesHistoria.scribere, 2016
This seminar paper analyzes 19th century portrait photographs in British-India, which were mainly made by and addressed at British citizens. Regarding the wide range of genres, it can be shown that these photographs hardly give a realistic image of India,

Metal‐Half‐Salen Chemistry for One‐Pot Mineralization on Hydrophobic Polymer Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here we report a versatile one‐pot synthetic strategy for organic–inorganic composite membranes, which leverages a metal half‐Salen system to precisely govern the competing kinetics of coordination and hydrolysis. In contrast to conventional two‐step metal‐phenol chemistries, our integrated approach substantially simplifies the fabrication process ...

BCG HSP70 Reprograms Macrophages via Central Trained Immunity to Suppress Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BCG‐derived HSP70 (Dnak) safely induces central trained immunity via epigenetic, metabolic, and O‐GlcNAcylation reprogramming of bone marrow progenitors, driving tumor‐associated macrophages toward an M1‐like phenotype to suppress prostate cancer. ABSTRACT Trained immunity offers a promising yet clinically challenging strategy for cancer immunotherapy,

Tumor‐Derived Exosomal circAP2B1 Induces M2 Macrophage Polarization by Enhancing Mitochondrial Homeostasis to Promote Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ESCC‐derived exosomal circAP2B1 promotes tumor progression by reprogramming mitochondrial metabolism via the ESRRA/KPNA1/MFN2 axis to induce M2 polarization of macrophages. ABSTRACT Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) remodels the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment via exosome‐mediated intercellular communication.

Redirecting Monocyte Differentiation With Engineered Extracellular Vesicles for Glioma Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual‐targeting engineered extracellular vesicles (M1‐CS‐EVs) platform is developed to redirect monocytes differentiation into anti‐tumor macrophages for glioma immunotherapy. This nanoplatform combines CAR‐mediated tumor recognition with localized CD47 blockade, leading to synergistic immune activation and potent suppression of tumor progression in ...

Wholes and Parts: Oblivious Legacies From the Photography of A. Carreira’s Angolan Missions for a Portuguese Colonial Metropolitan Museum Amid the Liberation War (1961-74)

open access: yesCulture Unbound: Journal of Current Cultural Research
This article recuperates an overlooked history of a photographic archive created in 1965 to document the cultural diversity of the Portuguese colonies for an ethnological museum in Lisbon during the concluding decades of the country’s last colonial ...

Continuous Evolution System Based on Toxin–Antitoxin System Combined with Base Deaminase Accelerates the In Vivo Modification of Target Proteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The promoted Escherichia coli‐assisted continuous evolution (PEACE) system operates through a stringent three step genetic circuit: target gene mutation via a deaminase–T7 RNA polymerase (T7 RNAP) fusion, coupling variant function to antitoxin expression, and growth based selection of surviving cells.

Nanoparticle‐Mediated TIPE1 mRNA Delivery Enhances Paclitaxel Sensitivity in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer by Modulating RAB7A Ubiquitination‐Associated Stability and Autophagy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TIPE1m NPs nanoparticles restore TIPE1 expression, promote RAB7A ubiquitination and degradation, suppress autophagic flux, and resensitize paclitaxel‐resistant triple‐negative breast cancer to therapy. ABSTRACT Acquired paclitaxel (PTX) resistance remains a major obstacle in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) treatment.
