CDK4/6 Inhibition Induces CD8+ T Cell Antitumor Immunity via MIF‐Induced Functional Orchestration of Tumor‐Associated Macrophages

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDK4/6 inhibition promotes CD8+ T cell expansion through tumor‐macrophage crosstalk by activating HIF‐1α and enhancing MIF‐CD44/CD74 signaling. This reprograms TAMs to boost MHC‐I antigen presentation, and CDK4/6 inhibitor‐trained M1 TAM supernatant therapy synergizes with low‐dose PD‐1 blockade to restore antitumor immunity.

De l’utopie à la nostalgie en Algérie française

open access: yesConserveries Mémorielles, 2018
This article explores the moment when utopia and nostalgia crossed paths during the colonization of Algeria in the mid-nineteenth century. It analyses these two concepts as forms of practice, in colonization plans and the work of medical officers on the ...

Case study of a decolonising Aboriginal community controlled comprehensive primary health care response to alcohol‐related harm

open access: yesAustralian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health, 2019
Objective: This paper provides a case study of the responses to alcohol of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (The Service), and investigates the implementation of comprehensive primary health care and how it challenges the logic of ...

Using weeds to reduce pest insect numbers in organic vegetable crops - a desk study (OF0329) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
At present, weeds and pest insects are two of the major constraints to the production of high quality organic vegetable crops, primarily because the range of control measures available to UK growers is extremely limited.

A metapopulation model with Markovian landscape dynamics

open access: yes, 2016
We study a variant of Hanski's incidence function model that allows habitat patch characteristics to vary over time following a Markov process. The widely studied case where patches are classified as either suitable or unsuitable is included as a special

Integrated Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics Reveal Cell‐Type‐Specific Immune Regulatory Networks in Maize Responding to Southern Corn Rust

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating single‐nuclei and spatial transcriptomics, this study presents a stereoscopic landscape of maize leaf to Puccinia polysora infection. Epidermal and mesophyll cells initiate primary defenses via RLPs/RLKs and jasmonic acid signaling. Cell‐cell communication analyses further reveal the underlying the dynamics of the underlying immune ...

Local livelihoods and global process: complex causalities in Hong Kong’s Sai Kung Peninsula

open access: yesMiscellanea Geographica: Regional Studies on Development, 2018
This paper looks at the changes that occurred in the rural area of the Sai Kung Peninsula in Hong Kong’s New Territories from the 16th century, and uses it as a case-study to show the complex range of forces that can act on a locale.

Telomere‐to‐Telomere Genomes Reveal that Multiscale Evolution Shapes the Largest Metabolic Arsenal of Diaporthe Fungi

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents the first telomere‐to‐telomere genomes and population resources for Diaporthe pathogens, uncovering the largest known fungal repertoire of secondary metabolite gene clusters. Structural variations and horizontal gene transfer drive cluster diversification, while specific rapidly evolving clusters control virulence, offering novel ...
