Combined spatially resolved metabolomics and spatial transcriptomics reveal the mechanism of RACK1‐mediated fatty acid synthesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors analyzed the spatial distributions of gene and metabolite profiles in cervical cancer through spatial transcriptomic and spatially resolved metabolomic techniques. Pivotal genes and metabolites within these cases were then identified and validated.

BiHom-Poisson color algebras [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
The goal of this paper is to introduce BiHom-Poisson color algebras and give various constructions by using some specific maps such as morphisms. We introduce averaging operator and element of centroid for BiHom-Poisson color algebras and point out that BiHom-Poisson color algebras are closed under averaging operators and elements of centroid.

Enzymatic protein hydrolysates of a residue from grape by-products industry for winemaking application: influence of the starting material and hydrolysis time

open access: yesCogent Food & Agriculture
Large quantities of defatted grape seed meal (DGSM) are discarded annually in the grape pomace industry. This residue could be exploited as a new source of non-animal protein to improve the chemical and color stabilization of red wines from warm regions.

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories predict survival in trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...

Recoding Color Transfer as a Color Homography [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Color transfer is an image editing process that adjusts the colors of a picture to match a target picture's color theme. A natural color transfer not only matches the color styles but also prevents after-transfer artifacts due to image compression, noise, and gradient smoothness change.

Bioinspired living structural color hydrogels

open access: yesScience Robotics, 2018
Robotic objects and “heart-on-a-chip” platforms feature bioinspired structural color materials with autonomous regulation. Structural color materials from existing natural organisms have been widely studied to enable artificial manufacture.

The accumulation of myeloid‐derived suppressor cells participates in abdominal infection‐induced tumor progression through the PD‐L1/PD‐1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores how sepsis affects GC progression by creating an immunosuppressive environment. Our findings reveal that sepsis promotes immune dysregulation, enhancing tumor growth and metastasis. Targeting the PD‐1/PD‐L1 pathway with monoclonal antibodies shows potential for restoring immune function and improving outcomes in cancer patients ...

Colorful Associahedra and Cyclohedra [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Every n-edge colored n-regular graph G naturally gives rise to a simple abstract n-polytope, the colorful polytope of G, whose 1-skeleton is isomorphic to G. The paper describes colorful polytope versions of the associahedron and cyclohedron. Like their classical counterparts, the colorful associahedron and cyclohedron encode triangulations and flips ...
