A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

The effect of reduced color depth on the color reproduction of web images

open access: yes, 2002
Accurate color reproduction of images viewed across the Internet can be a difficult task due to problems, which include variable viewing conditions. The standard RGB color space (sRGB)has been proposed to overcome this problem without the need for special ...

Organic-Perovskite Bilayer Color Conversion Media for Full-Color Displays

open access: yes
Color conversion media (CCM) are crucial for realizing cost-effective, high-resolution micro-LED and OLED displays. In this work, we developed green and red organic-perovskite bilayer CCM that combine the PLQY and color purity of perovskite quantum dots (

Chameleon sequences reveal structural effects in proteins representing micelle‐like distribution of hydrophobicity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

Towards a full-color microLED display with a patterned quantum dot color conversion layer

open access: yes, 2023
Micro-light-emitting diode (microLED) based displays are a very promising technology. An advantageous route for realizing full-color microLED displays is using blue microLEDs with a color conversion layer based on quantum dot materials for red and green.

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Ultra-High-Resolution Organic Light-Emitting Diodes with Color Conversion Electrode

open access: yes, 2018
The implementation of ultra-high-resolution displays is one of the important technologies for advanced displays. In this paper, an ultra-high-resolution organic light-emitting diode display is implemented without the fine metal mask method, but via a ...
