GRAY COLOR CONVERSION USING CLASSIFICATION METHOD

open access: yes, 2020
There are various methods of gray conversion of RGB color images. They are calculated by three functions, Grayscale function, the Desaturate function, and the value component of the HSV option of the Decompose function. By converting this method we found

Cell geometry and membrane protein crowding constrain Escherichia coli growth rate, overflow metabolism, respiration, and maintenance energy

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Digital Grading the Color Fastness to Rubbing of Fabrics Based on Spectral Reconstruction and BP Neural Network

open access: yesJournal of Imaging, 2023
To digital grade the staining color fastness of fabrics after rubbing, an automatic grading method based on spectral reconstruction technology and BP neural network was proposed. Firstly, the modeling samples are prepared by rubbing the fabrics according

Organic Color-Conversion Media with High Blue Absorption Coefficients

open access: yes, 2023
Color conversion is a promising full-color scheme to realize high-resolution, cost-effective OLED and micro- LED displays. The color-conversion media, which absorb and down-convert the blue light from a blue pixel array to red and green, are essential to

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Dual Role of Quantum Dots as Color Conversion Layer and Suppression of Input Light for Full-Color Micro-LED Displays

open access: yes, 2021
In micro-light-emitting diode (micro-LED) displays with color-conversion layers, a facile and efficient technology getting rid of the use of the color filters leads to a big technical leap in cost-effective fabrication.

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...
