Color Doppler ultrasound of the normal testis [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Roentgenology, 1989
Color Doppler ultrasound with point spectral analysis was performed on 30 testes of 15 asymptomatic volunteers. Intratesticular arteries and testicular capsular arteries were imaged in all 30 cases. Waveforms from these vessels were similar and consistently showed a low-impedance pattern with high levels of diastolic flow.

Evaluation of Scrotal Pathologies by Ultrasound and Color Doppler

open access: yesCureus, 2023
Introduction Due to its ease of use, lack of ionizing radiation exposure, noninvasive nature, reproducibility, low cost, and ease of accessibility, ultrasound (US) is the preferred imaging modality for evaluating scrotal disease. High-resolution US and color Doppler better highlight scrotal and testicular diseases because of the scrotum's superficial ...

Color Doppler ultrasound and arteriovenous fistulas for hemodialysis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Ultrasound, 2014
Native arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is the vascular access of choice for hemodialysis patients. Compared with grafts and central venous catheters, AVFs last longer and are associated with fewer complications. The widespread use of the Doppler ultrasound (DUS) has increased the number of patients who are eligible for AVF by facilitating the ...

Discrimination between pleural thickening and minimal pleural effusion using color Doppler chest ultrasonography

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Chest Disease and Tuberculosis, 2013
Background: The discrimination of pleural thickening from minimal pleural effusion may be difficult as both lesions appear as anechoic on grayscale ultrasound, hence, free of “echoes” does not confirm the presence of pleural fluid.
