A Meso-Scale Petri Net Model to Simulate a Massive Evacuation along the Highway System
Future Transportation, 2023 Natural disasters may require that the residents of the affected area be evacuated immediately using a potentially damaged infrastructure. In this paper, we developed a mesoscopic simulation modeling approach for modeling traffic flow over a large ...

Timed Colored Petri Net-Based Event Generators for Web Systems Simulation
Applied Sciences, 2022 Simulation is a powerful process for perfectly planning and dimensioning web systems. However, a successful analysis using a simulation model usually requires variable load intensities. Furthermore, as the client’s behavior is subject to frequent changes

DB-Nets: On the Marriage of Colored Petri Nets and Relational Databases [PDF]
, 2017 The integrated management of business processes and mas- ter data is being increasingly considered as a fundamental problem, by both the academia and the industry. In this position paper, we focus on the foundations of the problem, arguing that contemporary approaches struggle to find a suitable equilibrium between data- and process-related aspects. We

State space analysis of flexible manufacturing cell using timed colored Petri nets
MATEC Web of Conferences, 2017 In this paper we focus on analysis and evaluation of flexible manufacturing cell using time colored Petri nets. We basically model the system with respect to time to observe relation between each place and transition through arcs.
