Color reproduction on inkjet printers and paper colorimetric properties

SPIE Proceedings, 2003
The goal of this work is to study the relationship between the colorimetric characteristics that identify a kind of paper and those that allow us to evaluate its color reproduction capabilities on inkjet printers. A set of 29 different commercial papers from several companies has been tested.

Colorimetric study of the electrochromic properties of a conducting polymer

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1990
The in-situ reflection spectra of polyaniline, poly-N-methylpyrrole and polythiophene were measured. The chromaticity coordinates were calculated by the CIE (Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage) 1976 (L*, u*, v*) colour space method. In the chromaticity diagram, polyaniline shows two turning points which indicate the existence of a different ...

Colorimetric properties of TiN coating implanted by aluminum

Journal of Alloys and Compounds, 2005
Abstract TiN coating was prepared by cathodic arc deposition and implanted aluminum using a metal vacuum vapor arc ion source with doses ranging from 5 × 1016 to 2 × 1017 ions/cm2. The purpose of this work was to determine the dependence of the colorimetric properties of TiN films on the implanting conditions, especially by the aluminum ion ...

Modelization of the optical and colorimetric properties of lustred ceramics

Applied Physics A, 2006
The lustre decoration is one of the most famous decorations of glazed ceramics in the Mediterranean basin. Unfortunately, the recipes and fabrication techniques used during medieval times have been lost and that is why these objects have been widely studied. But until now, little was known on their optical properties.

Colorimetric properties of reversible thermochromic printing inks

Dyes and Pigments, 2010
The colorimetric properties of three, leuco dye-based thermochromic inks at 31 C activation temperature were studied. The inks had similar pigment particle size distribution and comparably thick microcapsule shells with similar stability against oxygen plasma etching. The colour of the inks was dependent on temperature as well as the thermal history of

The Colorimetric Properties of the Deinked Pulp from Digital Prints

Conference on Colour in Graphics, Imaging, and Vision, 2004
Optical properties of handsheet during flotation of prints from digital and conventional offset printing have been observed in this paper. The prints for processing were made on web digital offset printing machine whit six colors and on two models on sheet fed digital offset machines with four colors on different printing substrates.

Ageing characterization of colorimetric and photometric properties of commercial LED lamps

2016 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2016
This paper analyzes the changes of spectral-derived characteristics of LED lamps during their operational life. The analysis is based upon a laboratory-controlled ageing experiment over 17 LED lamps samples. Each sample is put into its normal operating condition up to 20000 hours. As a comparison, lumen maintenance tests are also performed over another

Colorimetric Properties of Foods

2014
In this chapter, the term “colorimetric” will be confined to the wavelengths of light that impact on the retina and send a signal via the optic nerve to the brain. This means essentially the spectrum from 390 to 760 nm — the “visual” spectrum — and defines how the eye sees color.

Colorimetric property of guest-host liquid crystal displays

Proceedings of 5th Asian Symposium on Information Display. ASID '99 (IEEE Cat. No.99EX291), 2003
A bright reflective LCD without a backlight is a key device for portable information systems. The guest-host LCDs use the absorption anisotropy effect of dichroic dyes and have a wide viewing angle cone. The GH-LCD does not need complicated designs of optical compensation in birefringence or optical rotatory power modes.

Dynamic colorimetric properties of mixed thermochromic printing inks

Coloration Technology, 2011
Leuco dye‐based thermochromic inks reversibly change from the coloured to the discoloured state in a defined, comparatively wide temperature region. Inside this region, the colour of a sample depends on the temperature and thermal history, which is known as the hysteresis effect. The colour of such a sample as a function of temperature has the shape of
