Ageing characterization of colorimetric and photometric properties of commercial LED lamps

2016 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2016
This paper analyzes the changes of spectral-derived characteristics of LED lamps during their operational life. The analysis is based upon a laboratory-controlled ageing experiment over 17 LED lamps samples. Each sample is put into its normal operating condition up to 20000 hours. As a comparison, lumen maintenance tests are also performed over another

Colorimetric Properties of Foods

2014
In this chapter, the term “colorimetric” will be confined to the wavelengths of light that impact on the retina and send a signal via the optic nerve to the brain. This means essentially the spectrum from 390 to 760 nm — the “visual” spectrum — and defines how the eye sees color.

Colorimetric property of guest-host liquid crystal displays

Proceedings of 5th Asian Symposium on Information Display. ASID '99 (IEEE Cat. No.99EX291), 2003
A bright reflective LCD without a backlight is a key device for portable information systems. The guest-host LCDs use the absorption anisotropy effect of dichroic dyes and have a wide viewing angle cone. The GH-LCD does not need complicated designs of optical compensation in birefringence or optical rotatory power modes.

Dynamic colorimetric properties of mixed thermochromic printing inks

Coloration Technology, 2011
Leuco dye‐based thermochromic inks reversibly change from the coloured to the discoloured state in a defined, comparatively wide temperature region. Inside this region, the colour of a sample depends on the temperature and thermal history, which is known as the hysteresis effect. The colour of such a sample as a function of temperature has the shape of

Colorimetric properties of UV-thermochromic inks

2009
The focus of this paper is on thermochromic inks that change colour in a controlled way when the temperature is varied. We will analyse here colorimetric properties of the screen-printed UV-curing leucodye thermochromic inks in red, blue and black shades with activation temperature of 31 °C.

Influence of Paper on Colorimetric Properties of an Ink Jet Print

Journal of Imaging Science and Technology, 2007
Paper for ink jet printing has to obtain optimal printing runnability, printability, and printing quality Therefore, it must have some specific properties that ensure optimal drying time, mechanical stability of a print, and its light and water resistance. The paper surface should enable the printing ink to be dried as fast as possible.

Colorimetric and photometric properties of a 2° fundamental observer

Color Research & Application, 1978
AbstractThe availability of tables with standardized data on the properties of a normal visual visual observer has been a great help in scientific communication. For daily practice these data, going back to the 1920s, still suffice. For basic science they show shortocmings, however.

Pyrroloquinoline quinone exhibiting peroxidase-mimicking property for colorimetric assays

Analytica Chimica Acta
Small molecule mimics offer the advantages of easy preparation, good thermodynamic stability, and reproducible catalytic activity. However, most of the reported organic artificial mimics face challenges including low catalytic activity, oxidative self-destruction, and auto-aggregation into inactive dimers.

The anion recognition properties of a novel hydrazone based on colorimetric and potentiometric studies

Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2016
A novel hydrazone, 1,3-bis (2-formylphenoxy) propane bis (2,4-dinitrophenyl hydrazine) (S) has been synthesized and characterized by the NMR, IR, CHNS, UV-Vis, Raman, TEM and XPS analysis. Upon the addition of monohydrogen phosphate (MHP) ion, sudden color change from light yellow to dark violet has occurred.

The influence of the substrate on the colorimetric properties of the reproduction

2001
The impotrance of electronic media and multimedia products, is increasing due to the digitalisation of information that is today avaiable via networks.Thenew instruments of information technology can be and are used complementary to print products and may even simulate the demand for appropriate printing technology.
