Colorimetric Sensor Technology in Food
2021To objectively evaluate the odor quality, researchers have focused on finding a new way to design an odor sensor with the same performance as the human nose. This CSA array (CSA) technology mimics the mammalian olfactory system by digital imaging to quantify odorant.

Colorimetric metal ion sensors
Tetrahedron, 2011Colorimetric sensors allow on site, real time qualitative, and semi-quantitative detection without complicated analytical instruments. Various aspects, such as different color changes, metal induced absorptions shifts, are reviewed.

A colorimetric sensor for formalin determination
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2019A colorimetric sensor for determination of formalin using an entrapped acetylacetone sol - gel was investigated namely the sensor was based on the chemical reaction between formalin and entrapped acetylacetone sol - gel yielding a yellow product of 3,5-diacetyl-2,6-dihydrolutidine. The color change can be easily observed by naked-ked eyes.

Colorimetric Sensor Array for Soft Drink Analysis
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2006Fourteen commercial soft drinks have been analyzed using colorimetric sensor arrays made from a set of 25 chemically responsive dyes printed on a hydrophobic membrane. Digital imaging of the dye array before and after immersion provides a color change profile as a unique fingerprint for each specific analyte.

A colorimetric sensor for the selective detection of fluoride ions
Luminescence, 2016AbstractA colorimetric receptor L was prepared. Receptor L can selectively sense F− based on distinct color changes among a series of ions. It can selectively sense F− through an intramolecular hydrogen bond interaction. A Job plot indicated a 1:1 complexation stoichiometry between receptor L and F−.

A novel colorimetric HSO4− sensor in aqueous media
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2012A novel and sensitive anion receptor 3, bearing Schiff base structure, nitrophenyl azobenzol and carboxyl groups, was developed and characterized as a single chemosensor for the recognition of HSO(4)(-) anion. The different responses of UV-vis spectra and color changes of 3 could be applied to the recognition for HSO(4)(-) over other anions such as F(-)
